From targeting high-level certifications to piloting new, green technologies, our experts help our projects raise the bar in sustainable construction.

Totaling approximately 77,605sf, the Orlando Utilities Commission St. Cloud Operations & Maintenance Facility is a multiphase operations center project which includes a 55,000sf warehouse, a 22,000sf fleet repair facility for line trucks, and a fuel island. Managed by Ajax Building Company, the new operations and maintenance facility serves Orlando and parts of both Orange and Osceola counties by creating one central location.

For many clients, the carbon challenge is always top of mind. This year, Layton Construction poured more than 16,000yd3 of CarbonCure—an innovative concrete technology—on a 260,964sf, five-floor fulfillment center. CarbonCure’s technology introduces recycled CO₂ into fresh concrete without compromising performance and greatly reduced this project’s concrete carbon footprint.

Built by Abbott Construction, LA County’s Olive View Restorative Care Village was built through a modular construction approach and includes solar energy, reflective asphalt, and other features that helped earn LEED Gold certification.
