EMPOWERING WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION

At STO Building Group, our people are our greatest asset. The mission of STO Building Group’s Women in Construction network is to promote gender equality by inspiring all employees through our pillars of charity, networking, and professional development.

From roundtables with industry leaders to conferences, speaking engagements, and charitable events, STOBG Women in Construction continues to grow a supportive work environment that encourages the exchange of ideas and perspectives from different points of view.

This year, the group held their first Annual Summit where female leaders from all of our companies—from Structure Tone’s Women in Construction groups to Layton Construction’s Women Inclusion Network (WIN)—came together to discuss how we can collectively implement positive changes and make our industry more diverse. Many of the STOBG Senior Executives, including CEO Bob Mullen and executive chairman James Donaghy, joined the summit for breakfast, providing an opportunity to speak freely about key topics related to women in construction. This visible allyship from our male leadership increases the group’s sense of belonging.
