St. Mary’s Ryken FAMILIES AFFIRM OUR COMMITMENT TO SUCCESS!

Ann Riley, Parent to Ryan ’17 and Jared ’20

“Sending our sons to St. Mary’s Ryken was the absolute best decision we ever made for our family. Ryan ’17 graduated from the Virginia Military Institute, is now married, and was just commissioned into the United States Air Force as a physicist. Jared ’20 is attending Liberty University in the School of Aeronautics and is also a student pilot at Southern Maryland Seaplanes. The pandemic brought a tough ending for the graduating seniors of 2020, but we are forever grateful that SMR made so many great things happen — the graduation yard signs hand-delivered by the administration, the graduation ceremonies and videos, and even the planning of a 2020 reunion. (Even though it had to be cancelled, the effort was heart-warming.) As tough as it was for the Class of ’20, I know the Class of ’21 had their own hardships, but I was impressed with how St. Mary’s Ryken handled the situation. Both Ryan and Jared have expressed to me that attending SMR was the best decision in preparation for college!”
