Taking Flight

In Term 1, St Mary’s College joined the Gateway to Industry - Aerospace program.

College Principal, Mr Brendan Stewart, was very excited to share this news with the Darling Downs community.

“We would like to thank Boeing Defence Australia, who have come on board as our industry partner for the project,” said Mr Stewart.

“Being on the doorstep of Wellcamp Airport is an obvious advantage for our school.”

“This partnership will provide enormous opportunities for the boys at St Mary’s College for work and experience in the aerospace industry now and in the future.”

“Being a Gateway to Industry school for Aerospace means more job opportunities.”

“Potentially local, national and global aviation opportunities will form part of the choices for our young men,” he said.

This is outstanding news for St Mary’s College and the Toowoomba community.
