New to Town

Congratulations to the St Mary’s College Netball team who competed in the Vicki Wilson Cup in June.

The team comprised of boys in Years 10 to 12. All students worked extremely well together and displayed exceptional team spirit.

The boys finished 6th overall, with four wins and five losses. A special mention must go to the captain of the team, Caiden Bridger who led the boys admirably throughout the day.

The best player of the day was Hayden Beckett who was calm under pressure and made himself free to score a number of goals in every game.

Netball is a new sport offering at St Mary’s College and the boys have embraced the opportunity. Well done, gentlemen!

Confraternity Shield 2023

Well done to the Opens Rugby League team who competed in the 2023 Confraternity Shield in Brisbane in June.

Our boys played in Division 1 and performed exceptionally well in the pool rounds, finishing equal first on points. With two wins, and only one narrow loss, they showed great determination, resilience and skill on the field.

Congratulations to Braithen Scott, who was named St Mary’s College Best and Fairest, as well as Bodhi Sharpley who was awarded the Spirit of the Carnival Award.
