City opportunities

The City of St. Louis Park has volunteer opportunities available to help support our city departments, which allows us to better serve the community.

Visit www.stlouispark.org/volunteer for the most updated information on the status of volunteer programs and activities or contact Organizational Development Coordinator Laura Smith at lsmith@stlouispark.org or 952.928.2847.

Beautify St. Louis Park

Help beautify St. Louis Park by picking up litter and debris from a local park or street! This is a great activity for individuals and groups of all ages and can be done on your own time. Use your own bags and gloves, and volunteers can leave their bags in the garbage cans located at each park. If bags are too large for trash cans, email Laura Smith at lsmith@stlouispark.org. Volunteers are invited to post their pictures on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and tag the City of St. Louis Park (@stlouispark)!

Senior Community Services volunteer

Volunteers are a valuable addition and allow Senior Community Services to serve more participants in their Home & Outdoor Maintenance (HOME) program. Volunteers tackle outdoor chores as the leaves start to change, clear ice and snow when the flakes begin to fly and help with an expanding technology Support Program. For more information or to volunteer, visit seniorcommunity.org.

Email reimagineaging@seniorcommunity.org or call 952.541.1019 with questions.

Senior Community Services is a nonprofit organization with a mission to innovate and deliver services that meet the changing needs of older adults and their caregivers.

SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

Support student achievement! Become a volunteer in St. Louis Park Public Schools. To volunteer or receive more information, contact Angie Martinez Grande in the school volunteer office at 952.928.6450 or martinezgrande.angela@slpschools.org.

Be a hydrant hero

Protect your family and neighbors when seconds count by volunteering to be a hydrant hero! A hydrant hero keeps their adopted fire hydrant clear of snow in the winter and free of plant overgrowth in the summer.

Visit www.hydranthero.org to adopt a hydrant. Choose a hydrant, click on the “Adopt me” link and fill out the registration form – you can even give your hydrant a name! Call Lieutenant Bob Hampton at 952.924.2599 for more information.
