Senior program takes to the airwaves

The senior program is partnering with the City of St. Louis Park to offer the following classes for FREE! The classes will air on Comcast channel 15 at 7 p.m., 3 a.m. and 11 a.m. during the premier listed for each class. You may also view the classes online at bit.ly/15ParkTV. Interval Circuit with Cathy O'Donnell

Studies show that interval training boosts the body’s metabolism. Circuit training is an effective method of exercising the whole body in a short period of time. Combine the two and you have a dynamically efficient strength and conditioning workout. All levels and abilities welcome. Our motto is, "exercise in the morning before our brains realize what we are doing!" Premiere: March 5 and 16 at 7 p.m.

A bit of fear swept through the real estate market when the coronavirus hit. Many people's plan to downsize or move into a senior community came to a sudden halt. Senior living providers have had enormous challenges as well, making it difficult to continue the active lifestyle most seniors want. So, has the situation changed and are seniors any closer to reinstating their future plans? Join Dan and Mary Tillman, seniors real estate specialists, and Brad Johnson, certified senior advisor, as they talk about COVID-19, the real estate market status and what is happening in the senior living communities. At the Movies with Bob DeFlores: Life with Father

This 1947 technicolor American comedy tells the true story of Clarence Day and his family in the 1880s. He wants to be master of his house but finds his wife and children ignoring him until they start making demands for him to change his own life. The film stars William Powell and Irene Dunne as Clarence and his wife, supported by Elizabeth Taylor as a beautiful teenage girl with whom Clarence's oldest son becomes infatuated, along with Edmund Gwenn and ZaSu Pitts. Premiere: March 12 and 22 at 7 p.m.

Trips "The Music Man" at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater

Lenox Community Center Lounge Room 6715 Minnetonka Blvd. Enjoy a delicious meal once we arrive at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater, then watch a matinee performance of Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man." This musical theater classic follows fasttalking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize. Hill’s plans to skip town with the cashier foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

Influential Women in American History Part 2 Online Join photographer, historian and instructor Doug Ohman for part 2 of "Influential Women in American History." Doug will continue to highlight the lives of some women that left a positive mark on our history. The talk will highlight approximately 15 women, from Harriet Tubman to Laura Ingalls Wilder. He will be sure to include some women whose stories have been lost by most Americans.

Bluff Country Tour

Online Take a virtual road trip into one of the most scenic areas of Minnesota. Loaded with history, this tour is a favorite of many.
