Building a Stronger Community Together
At St Joseph’s College, we are a registered charity with the principal aim of advancing education for the public benefit. As an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2 to 19 years, we provide a nurturing environment in which students are inspired to reach their full potential intellectually, morally, spiritually, and physically and to play an active and positive role in society, offering service to local, national and global communities.
We believe in being an active and supportive member of our local community. Our campus serves as a hub for various community organisations, reflecting our commitment to fostering strong, collaborative relationships beyond the school gates. We are proud to host a diverse range of community groups and we aim to contribute to the vibrancy and wellbeing of our community, providing a welcoming environment for all.
Our partnerships extend beyond facility use. We collaborate with local schools, including those that cater to children with diverse needs, to ensure inclusive educational opportunities.

The College and the Board of Governors are committed to high standards of corporate governance. The Trustees take steps to manage these risks by means of systems of controls, policies, monitoring and committees. The Governors’ sub-committee groups review key internal operational and financial controls and confirm the operating effectiveness of those to the Board of Governors.
At St Joseph’s College, we approach risk management with care and responsibility in all strategic decisions. Every major development undergoes a thorough assessment that considers operational, financial, and reputational risks, alongside the College’s long-term sustainability. Crucially, we prioritise the views and wellbeing of our community, both within and beyond the College. Whether it’s investing in new facilities or launching academic programmes, we actively engage stakeholders to understand local impact and explore opportunities for shared benefit.
