We wanted to say how genuinely thankful we are to the SJE team for attempting what many have said was impossible, from a procedural, structural, and daily teaching perspective. We are awed at the effort, time, and detail that went into the reopening process. When we see that compared against what is happening (or not happening) at other schools around the nation, we are even more thankful. When we see our teachers, noses raw from their face masks, eagerly head into the classroom to teach our children both at home and in person using a new mode of teaching, we have no words that could properly express our gratitude. Because to do what St. John’s is doing doesn’t just take money and resources. It takes careful planning, passion for the mission, and love for our children. And for that, we are so thankful.
