Why Aerospace Science?

Advantages for Schools

The Structure of the Class

● The class is oriented towards preparing students to pass the

FAA Part 107

Examination

● The certification results in a commercial remote pilot certificate.

AOPA You Can Fly Curriculum

AOPA You Can Fly Curriculum

● Curriculum is entirely free though the school must commit to using it as written and providing enrollment data.

● The curriculum can extend for four years and has two different pathways: Manned and Unmanned Aircraft Operations.

EAA Young Eagles Program

● Available to students ages 6-17

● Each student who registered is provided with a free flight piloted by an individual from the local chapter.

● Teachers are eligible for CAP flights.

Civil Air Patrol Aerospace Educator Program

● One time $50 application fee.

● Renews annually

● Affiliated with the U.S. Air Force

● Provides a LOT of free materials and resources including: RC Aircraft, Model Rockets, Weather stations and Flight Simulators.

● Also provide a free flight to teachers.
