Dear Friends… Stitchin' Heaven is not a who or what. They are a lifestyle brand for enthusiastic quilters all over the world. It all started in 1996 by Deb Luttrell, who had just moved to the small quaint town of Quitman, Texas, with the greatest of intentions to raise emus. The emus didn't happen but her quilt shop did. Her vision was simple, "a premier quilt shop appealing to those that love to quilt and sew and to offer the best fabrics and supplies." Luttrell quickly established herself as a significant player in the quilting industry. Only 4 years later, Stitchin' Heaven was ranked one of the Top 10 Quilt Shops by Quilt Sampler magazine. Over the past 25+ years, Stitchin' Heaven has generated enormous support from quilters. While Stitchin' Heaven may not be the biggest quilt store or supply shop in the country, it’s the biggest in Texas, and has an unmatched passion for fabric and sewing. In 2018 Clay, Deb's son, became a partner of the company and has been instrumental in the vision and growth that is being experienced. In late 2019, Stitchin' Heaven opened a new 17,500 square foot multi-purpose building and a 9500 square foot Retreat Center with 6 adorable cottages. In addition, construction is currently underway for a 45K square foot warehouse/office space/event center. They would love to have you visit in person or online and become a part of the Stitchin' Heaven community!

The Cottages The Cottages are small units available for up to 4 people. These quaint units are offered to serve groups who want to come to spend the night and are not intended for sewing space. Plan to bring your friends, perhaps take a class at the store, and have fun exploring the area surrounding Quitman. For the men (and some of the ladies) Lake Fork is only 6 miles away and offers world-class bass fishing. There are several very nice golf courses in the area and a variety of sports-themed activities. If you love antiques, you will be very happy in Mineola and also in Gladewater. Canton features First Monday Trades Days boasting to be the world's largest flea market.
Camp Quilt S’More Join our group of happy campers for a fun-filled weekend of quilting and relaxing. It's where friends are made one stitch at a time! Oct. 20-23, 2022. Your buddies from Stitchin' Heaven will be on hand to counsel you through all the ups and downs of camplife -- you know, the sewing foot. And they will lead you in all the camp song favorites like "I Like to Eat" and "Make New Friends" and of course, "The Hokey Pokey," when you need to stay awake so you can finish that last quilt block. Taking Care of Your Longarm Quilting Machine Making sure that your longarm quilting machine is in the best shape possible means you’re going to have to get it professionally checked and maintained. This should occur at least every two years or every 10 million stitches. During the service, the technician will clean the machine and check to ensure that everything is within the specifications for your particular machine. They'll make adjustments as necessary to get them within the correct parameters. This includes checking the stitch regulator and verifying that the stylus, machine head and hopping foot are in good shape. The machine will also be lubricated with a special lubricant that’s made to last. This helps it continue working as intended for as long as possible and helps protect the parts so you don’t have to repair it as often.

Learn to master your BERNINA machine as you work step by step through hands-on activities! In our comprehensive two-day class on sewing only BERNINA machines, you’ll learn how to maintain your machine in top working order, threading, stitches, needle positions, presser feet use and combination mode as well as how to customize machine settings to fit your needs. Did you purchase an embroidery machine? Add a day for learning all the fun you will have with embroidery! This class includes how to hoop, motif selection and modification and how to make the best projects for gifts or for your own decor! This class is free with purchase of a new BERNINA from Stitchin' Heaven, or with transfer from another dealer.
