How does the robot work with GPS signal?

The new STIGA autonomous robot mower works collecting information from satellites signals, both GPS and all other GNSS systems, to know their positions and navigate around the garden.

Fully adaptable perimeter

The new STIGA autonomous robot mower is cable-free, meaning installation as well as perimeter setting can be fully managed via App. This means, every time something changes in the garden, the perimeter can be easily modified by the user in few minutes.

Why RTK (Real Time Kinematic)?

RTK technology makes our robot’s position extremely precise, thanks to continuous data triangulation between the robot itself, satellites in the sky and the reference station installed in the garden.

Constant communication via STIGA Cloud

STIGA autonomous robot mower uses 4G network to make the dialogue between robot and reference station happen continuously. A safe data environment, where all datas and settings about the robot are stored.

AGS technology AGS technology allows your robot to plan mowing sessions intelligently, according to satellites signal strength, to reach every area of your garden at the proper time.

Active garden mapping

Intelligent mowing plan

Our autonomous robot mower maps the garden into a grid and knows the satellites map in the sky above it. It monitors how satellites are moving above each cell.

It assigns a signal quality score to each cell and continuously updates this score, following the satellites movement.

Knowing the satellites’ positioning in advance, our autonomous robot mower plans ahead each mowing session in each area.

Knows where and when to mow

Obstacles like trees, walls and hedges can influence satellites signal. STIGA AGS technology allows your robot to plan mowing sessions according to satellite signal availability, to mow with precision and accuracy.

Well-positioned to grant a perfect balance, the ePower integrated battery capacity allows the autonomous robot to care for the lawn in as little as 2 mowing cycles a day.

Newly engineered cutting device

The STIGA autonomous robot’s cutting device is equipped with 4 up to 6 pivoting razor blades: longer, thicker, heavier, sticking out more, not needing a protection disc.

Customizable cutting height

Thanks to the connection with the STIGA.GO App, you can choose the cutting height of your autonomous robot mower depending on the area to be mown.

Smart adjustment

The autonomous robot mower modulates the blade height automatically, to be able to deal effectively with longer grass and reach the desired height set by the user.

Agile climber

The new STIGA autonomous robot mower is able to keep on mowing with ease even on slopes up to 50%.

Rain sensor

The STIGA autonomous robot mower is able to understand when it is raining and stop mowing; lawn is better cut when dry.

STIGA autonomous robot mowers, mechanical strengths Easy access for maintenance The outer shell can be easily removed, without the need for tools to allow for cleaning and servicing.

STIGA robot mowers have an IPX5 waterproof rating making it safe to clean with a garden hose.

Shock-absorbing shell The outer shell is designed to ‘float’ on its connections to the chassis below. This means that any impact is absorbed by the shell, preventing damage both to the robot and any object it comes into contact with.

Wheels that leave no tracks Every element of the robot’s rear wheels have been carefully considered. The rubber compound used for the outer surface has been specified to provide grip on slopes even up to 27º yet be soft enough to minimise noise on hard surfaces.

The tread pattern improves grip further whilst allowing mud to be easily released.

The width of the wheels evenly distributes the weight so that it doesn’t leave unsightly lines across the lawn.

Stability and balance Unlike many other robot mowers, STIGA robots have two front wheels which provide additional stability and further prevention of obstacles coming into contact with the blades.

High performing cutting device Equipped with 4 to 6 pivoting carbon steel razor blades, spinning at up to 2850 rpm, new STIGA autonomous robot mowers ensure the highest cutting performance and nurturing a healthy, green lawn.

Lightweight polypropylene The majority of the outer shell is constructed from polypropylene and has been selected for its ability to flex and absorb shock on impact with obstacles. It is also highly scratch resistant.

Compact size Robots have been made as narrow as possible whilst optimising the cutting width to ensure greater maneuverability and the capability to fit through narrow spaces.

Automated charging When the robot battery is low, it will automatically return to the charging dock and connect via the charging port. As soon as the battery is recharged, the robot will continue with the job.

Connectivity packs To work with GPS RTK technology, the robot needs an uninterrupted connection with its reference station.

This connection happens through 4G data traffic.

With each robot model, a specific amount of data (meaning, mowing hours) is already included at the moment of purchase and needs to be activated when installing the robot.

From the connectivity pack activation date, the counter starts. Mowing hours have an expiry date and will finish within that date, no matter if they have been used or not.

Once mowing hours are finished, the user has to purchase new data packs for the autonomous robot lawn mower to continue working.

Inside the STIGA.GO App you can choose between four different connectivity packs, depending on your need or the garden size you have.
