This edition is the only official edition conduced by Toscanini, that has always been released by RCA Victor. Actually, it exists only in a box released by Naxos, but it is only partially the same version. Naxos edition is in fact the direct radio broadcast on NBC of 1947, with speakers, messages and public. Our is the only recording authorized by Toscanini with corrections and editing by Richard Mohr (RCA producer). We have made a real restoration, starting from the RCA edition of 1990. We expanded the sound dynamic and we have focused voices: the result is truly amazing. Furthermore, in the second CD we added the complete edition of the Te Deum conducted by Toscanini. It is, as everyone knows, one of the most important versions of Verdi's late masterpiece and an essential step in the history of the disk of the twentieth century!
