There are precious few recordings of Malcolm available in today’s market and this Heritage issue attempts to redress the balance.

After his affirmation in the 1958 Paganini Competition in Genova, Accardo began a successfull career as international soloist which led him to perform in most important concert halls around world and record a large number of disks. In 1962 when he was just 22 Accardo recorded the 24 Paganini’s Capricci for the first time stunning the music world for the sensational tecnique and the deep comprehension of the Paganini’s spirit. IDIS is now proud of presenting with a highly accurate digital remastering that unforgettable record. As conclusion of our double CD, also recored in 1962: two of the most beloved Concerts of the repertoire of the XIX century: Niccoló Paganini Concert in B minor that ends with the famous “Rondò della Campanella”, and the magnificent Antonio Viotti’s Concert no 22.
