The aim of the School mentoring model is to foster the adoption of digital innovation at school level.
The focus is on teachers’ understanding of digital technology and practices to implement technology in a pedagogically meaningful way.
The model promotes teachers’ professional learning with peers and school management to create the culture and practices for evidence-informed implementation of digital innovation.
iHub4Schools was piloted in 4 countries: Estonia, Finland, Lithuania and Georgia
over 600 teachers involved!
“It has been an important support for our ICT-team and whole school for enhancing the aims of ICT. When trying to enhance projects with the school’s own resources it is like working in a vacuum; there is no external input.
Now we have support and framing for improvement. Because there is someone looking somewhat outside our activities, it also “obligates” and gives backbone and a direction to our activities, so that we go to the right direction. “Digital Accelerator is an incredibly effective program not only for teachers but also for educational technologists. In addition, as a novice educational technologist, I also have a lot to learn from them. The structure of the program able us to engage large part of the school at the same time, even those who otherwise are further away from the digital technology field.
