TheOaklandChinatownChamberofCommerce is excitedtointroducetoyouOCCC’snew ExecutiveDirector,AliceWu!
Dear Oakland Chinatown Community,
I am Alice Wu, and since January 2024, I have had the privilege of serving as your Executive Director This annual report highlights the activities of the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce in the past year.
During my tenure, I’ve witnessed something truly remarkable the beating heart of our organization
Warmth and Resilience:
Our members are more than colleagues; we are a family We share stories, laughter, and sometimes tears When challenges arise, we stand together, unwavering in our commitment The warmth within these walls envelops me, reminding me why I chose this path.
Late Nights and Early Mornings:
Behind the scenes, there are late nights and early mornings the quiet moments when I reflect I think of the faces I’ve met, the dreams we nurture, and the hurdles we overcome Each phone call, each event, carries a piece of my heart
The Power of Connection:
We don’t just build businesses; we build bridges. Our relationships extend beyond networking. They’re lifelines threads that weave us into a resilient community. When a member succeeds, we all celebrate. When facing challenges, we lift each other up.
Legacy and Gratitude:
This past year, we’ve achieved so much From fundraisers to street fests and mixers to workshops and security camera installations they’re more than tasks. They’re stepping stones toward a legacy of positive impact. And for that, I am profoundly grateful.
To my board members, my tireless team, and every kind soul who volunteers time and spirit I see you. You are the heartbeat of our chamber Because of you, we make a difference one day at a time
With heartfelt appreciation, Executive Director, Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce
Alice Wu
