Roof to Plate
The landscape of today’s food production industry is one distantly removed from the consumer. We often buy products with little or no understanding of where they came from, how they were made or who made them. My project aims to eliminate this distance between consumer and producer. This project features a culinary school, community kitchens, meeting space, a food production information center and a publicly accessible green roof. Located on Chicago’s Restaurant Row this building provides two unique vantage points along Randolph Street. From the East, the publicy accessible green roof is highlighted while the view from the West shows off the entrance to the indoor community space.

Co-Working Tower
Today, office buildings need to foster a collaborative work environment and engage the urban landscape in a welcoming manner. This project provides a diverse pallet of work spaces to best suit the ever changing office. Internally, this building offers co-working spaces, large open offices and small private workspaces. Externally, this project welcomes patrons in with a large open plaza connecting the Columbus River South Park with the urban streetscape.
Live-Work Housing
Located in the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio, this project incorporates affordable housing with a live-work focus. The site layout is inspired by Oglethorpe’s Savannah city plan with a grid of townhouse type dwellings that are connected by ‘corridors’ of work-space buildings. Outdoor greenspace is distributed throughout the site. Consisting of multiple building types, the project is book-ended by apartment style buildings.

Program Diagram
The Old North Library project was a proposed branch for the Columbus Metropolitan Library. The location for this project is on High Street in the Old North neighborhood of Columbus. Situated along a wooded ravine and a busy street, this project aims to maintain the urban edge of High Street while also creating a plaza that embraces the natural landscape.

Recreation Center
This project was a recreation center for the North side of The Ohio State campus. This multi-story athletic center addresses issues of program, accessibility to students and urban edge. The goal of this design was to optimize the spectating of sports, while also creating spaces of privacy for those who seek it while exercising.
Big Box: Vitra Musuem
This Project is on the Vitra Design campus in Weil am Rhein, Germany. The proposal is a museum to house the Vitra chair collection. It includes a large gallery space, public and private archives, a fabrication workshop and a studio space.

Playground
This project began with an eight week study of an assigned building material; earth. Studies involved research into earth’s physical limitations as well as its thermal and environmental qualities. Model studies explored the tectonic, how to aesthietically enhance earth as a construction material. The only required program for the final project was publicly accessible bathrooms. We decided a contemporary playground provided a unique opportunity to bring different groups of people together. This project includes traditional play equipment as well as shaded meeting spaces, a basketball court, a splash water pad, and public bathrooms.
