I would like to invite everyone to join us on November 18th for “The Maternal Showcase”. My family, myself and our entire team here would like to thank you for the interest and support you have given to our program. Our goal is to provide you with the best customer experience in the business. As for the cattle, our vision here has remained constant, to raise an animal that thrives in their environment and does so for a very long time at a highly efficient level. This year’s offering consists of the very best we have to offer out of the cow families that are represented here. As you look through the catalog you will find some of the most maternally bred pedigrees in the angus business. As we look into the future and begin the task of rebuilding America’s depleted cowherd numbers, we feel the angus female will be at the forefront. These types of females are responsible for producing bulls that go out and make America’s cowherd profitable for ranching families. We will be hosting a pre-sale social on Friday night the 17th where we invite everyone to join us at the ranch. We look forward to seeing everyone there and enjoying the fellowship.

The story behind this female starts on one of our trips to Argentina to attend the Palermo Cattle Show. This was not our first trip South to study cattle, but it was my first visit to the famous Palermo Show. While walking through the barn I came upon an Angus female that hit me hard. Great body shape, near perfect feet and legs, extra skeletal dimension and still a great look that would appeal in the ring. This was the kind we went to Argentina to find; Angus cattle that have had generations of selection pressure to thrive in the real world with a presence that works in today’s show cattle community. At the end of the day she was named Reserve Grand Champion Female and I went about purchasing full sibling embryos. After the long process of getting the paperwork in order, shipping the embryos to Canada and eventually bringing the weaned calves into the United States we have chosen to offer to the public a full sibling to the heifer that hit me so hard at Palermo. Our goal is to focus on real world cattle that can also succeed in the show ring. I know some say this cannot be done, but I believe it can and this is a huge step in that direction.
