Hi, I’m Steph Calvert!

I’m a friendly one-eyed illustrator with a boisterous laugh and over 20 years of experience working as a professional artist and designer. I live just south of Atlanta, Georgia with my husband Josh, our two ridiculously funny kids, and a pile of happy rescue animals.

STEPH CALVERT ART is infused with

optimism, bright colors, hand-lettering, and cute expressive characters. My digital painting rocks a bit of a retro gouache vibe and the sense of humor that reflects watching Airplane, Spaceballs, and The Blues Brothers five thousand times each.

New digital pieces are created to your specs using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate; I work offline in a variety of drawing media and paints. I’m a strong communicator and take all revisions and design notes in stride as part of the design process. Bonus?

I have never missed a deadline. Ever.

I earned my BFA in Computer Art from Savannah College of Art and Design in 1999, and I’ve learned a ton over the years about illustration and surface pattern design for production. The first ten years of my career were spent in the art departments of apparel and home decor companies including OshKosh B’Gosh, Mighty Fine Tees, and Intercontinental Art, Inc; I’ve been a freelancer since 2010.
