BRINGING THE Outside in I focused on bringing the outside in for my booth design, drawing inspiration from the forest. I wanted to center my design on the movement towards more environmentally friendly products while designing a space that was elegant, spacious and accessible to everyone. I brought the theme of being in the woods to influence my fixture designs in terms of their forms and material choices.

All the Auraco products used in my booth are environmentally friendly and the color palette simulates the outdoors. Wood grained TFL, white TFL, Cholugan pegboard, TruChoice Molding and living vegetation walls were used to emphasize this point. Another main way I tried to emulate being outside was by covering sections of the wall with fixtures with angular facades that resemble trees in the forest. These forest fixtures are interesting from all angles and they allow samples to be held at an angle that makes viewing and removing them easy.

All of the modular fixtures designed are easily manufactured and installed, visually appealing and hold over 200 product samples in total. By introducing fixtures with differing materiality, profiles and heights, the space is more varied, interesting and able to be enjoyed from every vantage point as you move throughout the space. I included 2 tables to allow vendors to welcome visitors, talk about their product and provide ADA accessible seating for those wanting to learn more. The two tables in the center of the booth also help direct traffic around the booth.

I kept signage to a minimum with the intent for the product to be organized in a way that is implicit. By providing nine places for signs spread around the room, adequate way-finding and product identification will be possible without overpowering the space. The booth is also designed so that the product is spread out evenly throughout and utilizes minimal free standing fixtures. This will minimize congestion and improve way-finding while allowing for ample room for ADA accessibility. Through the material choices, fixture design and space layout I tried to bring the outside in and make the space feel polished, inviting and accessible to everyone.

Forest Fixture

This fixture is inspired from the movement of the trees in the forest which is manifested in its shape and wood facade.

It is easy to install and ensures that the samples it holds are easily accessible and removable. The angular shape makes it easy to view the products and provides an alluring profile that draws people to it.

This fixture is made of sustainable Prism TFL in the color Argento by Auraco and holds 90 of the over 200 samples displayed in the booth.

Peg Fixture

This hanging peg board displays the perforated Cholugan at the forefront of the design. It is easy to make and is customizable to hold one foot samples or other products to be displayed. It uses a subdued wood color to draw attention to the samples themselves rather than the fixture.

This fixture is made of a sustainable perforated Cholugan pegboard with TruChoice shelving by Auraco and holds 40 of the over 200 samples displayed.

Living Wall Fixture

This fixture is perfect for displaying environmentally friendly products because of the vertical garden that surrounds the samples. It uses the sustainable Prism TFL as the frame for the living wall. This design brings visual interest, a pop of color into the space and hones in on the sustainability efforts that are being employed.

This fixture is made of sustainable Prism TFL in the color Argento by Auraco and holds 54 of the over 200 samples displayed in the booth.

Living Wall Column Wrap Fixture

Similar to the Living Wall Fixture, this column wrap uses the same vegetation wall and Prism TFL frame to emphasize sustainability. However, this fixture has a contiguous frame that wraps three surfaces to draw you around the room and increase natural way-finding.

This fixture is made of sustainable Prism TFL in the color Argento by Auraco and holds 18 of the over 200 samples displayed in the booth.

Waterfall Edge Table

The simple and sleek design of this table allows for a contiguous waterfall counter made of white TFL over a woodgrain TFL base. This design similarly emphasizes the product by using a more subtle color pallette. This table was designed with the intent for vendors to stand at it, welcome visitors and talk about the product on display.

This fixture is made of a sustainable white TFL in a suede finish by Auraco to serve as the counter top and Prism TFL in the color Argento by Auraco to act as the base of the table.

Sitting Waterfall Edge Table

Similar to the Waterfall Edge Table, this table has a contiguous waterfall counter made of white TFL over a woodgrain TFL base. This table is perfect for vendors to talk over product with visitors and allows for a more formal sitting area that is ADA accessible.

This fixture is made of a sustainable white TFL in a suede finish by Auraco to serve as the counter top and Prism TFL in the color Argento by Auraco to act as the base of the table.
