Biscuit Brand Project

Our main concept of the biscuit brand project TASTY TOYS integrates two main aspects: cookies and toys; and it leads to Interactivity which connects one another through playful elements. Our goal is to allow the consumers to eat the cookies in a new, different way and to shift their perspective o about playing with food. A Handson aspect which integrates the cookies, the package and the consumer is also important in interactivity; in this case, we focused on people actually participating in the game and sharing their experience to one another. In this case, we based the concept of the product on the game of ‘connect 4’, which is basically a game designed for two players; the aim of the game is simply to connect the cookies in one line according to the same color. e ha e slightly modified the r les to connect ’ since it gives more sensation of its simplicity, also because of the space limitation of the packaging.

- Tasty Toys Brand Identity - Tasty Toys Logo “Don't play with your food" are the words that might have been taught to kids over the past few generations - but why can't you have fun with food?

The name talks by it self. “Releaves”, Relax on leaves, there fore relief. The city sometimes can be stressful and Nicky and there are just a few public spaces to relax, enjoy the daily light and read rite or may e re ection. Being in acrimony with the most important person… Ourselves.

r space is di ided in t o oors the first is a “soft” part supported by nature where the propose is giving who ever is entering the sensation of nature and curiosity to get into the second oor. We wanted to create a non- saturated space, there for we decide to delimit our space by using a “frame” made by two different parts witch allow us to give the sensation of opening and freedom, delimiting also the t o oors them sel . he first oor is st a col mns ase co ered y plants s ch as the inside gi ing the sensation o a so t rela green space li e an oasis in the middle o the city here e ill find a in a corner the stairs. y the other hand the second oor has a complete di erent composition is a place made or the three ’s reading re ection and rela ing. The walls are made of wood and they are salters them self, the difference is that this shelters hinted of being attach to a wall like most of them they have glass behind letting the light pass trough according to the number of books, creating an interaction with the people it self. he oor is a hammoc made or rela ing and tho ght a o t gi ing a com orta le t rare atmosphere to the place. Because is not rigid and depending on the amount of people that are using it the shape changes creates and immediate interaction et een the people and the first oor eing the roo o the second oor . The last part is the roof witch is just a simple sheet of glass, letting the natural light pass through and giving the sensation of nature involve. This two spaces complement each other and even if they are different, soft plants or hard wood at the end they are both one ice. Just like a place couldn’t be a city without people.

extra ast year Domic ilco lead a fi e day workshop at NABA, an art and design university in Milan. I set the challenge to create something I called the ‘Everyday Action Orchestra’. Each designer needed to think of an everyday action, such as waving, shaking hands, brushing teeth etc. They then needed to create an object that would make a musical sound when that action was made. There would be a performance at the end of the 5 days where everyone would perform their action and simultaneously make a sound. Hopefully it would look interesting and sound good.

The Vietnam Village of Friendship sponsored by BTK

Vietnam is a incredible country where perfection comes to a single smile. First journey BTK and NABA are doing together through this small asian country, visiting places as Hanoi, Thai Bin and its local productions, Lao Cai, Sa Pa where tributes and communities live in villages in the middle of mountains, Bac Ha, Halong Bay and its famous 1500 islands and the Village of Friendship nearby the capital. Tourism, volunteering and photography as elements of this journey of the 18 students from NABA and BTK, followed by 3 BTK professors and artists from Italy and US. The Workshop is based in the Village of Friendship, a place that provides medical care, physical therapy, and special educational opportunities to children, as well as rotating groups of Vietnamese veterans. Many of the medical conditions or physical disabilities treated there were caused by Agent Orange, lingering effects of the American war in Vietnam. The italians and I participated in a 3-days workshop where italian fashion students designed apron of kitchen from scratch and we all asked the 15 children to draw on it and design their own. The last day, the children participated to a fashion show, photo shooting and a live cooking session held by Davide. Social work in relation to design mixed with a live connection between the cultures ma e a s ita le en ironment or the creation o photographic series and film doc mentation with regard to the European Month of Photography in Berlin, fall 2014. personal Hubert Verstraeten / Annette Lechler Jewellry Design Who does not know them ? These activities without a particular meaning. Moments of timeless waiting, of concentration, of patience. Frequently these are repetitive gestures, for instance restlessly moving up and down one leg, taking a ring on and off or scribbling on a piece of paper. This phenomenon could be called boredom of unstructured time, a drop out of time - a time of letting go. Multiple is a ring-game - a play-ring exactly for those moments in life. The movement of harmonious circular or square form, its change into total disintegration and the subsequent surprise, are the attraction of these rings. Interplay of opening up and closing down, proposed in steel or in steel and gold. These rings are dedicated to this supremely human quality of ours. They are constructive, novel and above all humane. Irresistible design.

personal Tamawa Product Design Established in 2008, TAMAWA owes its clear identity to the Bakelite ball, used as the core material and component for all the products in its collection. It all started when designer Hubert Verstraeten met with Belgian snooker ball manufacturer SALUC, set in the region of Tournai in Belgium. From then on, SALUC would supply ramith henolic resin to the designer ho first started by self-producing two watches, followed by the design of a whole jewellery line, which inspired the name of the company – ‘TAMAWA’, meaning in Japanese; “ball on steel ring”.
