CONFIDENCE To Find Your Own Style

myself, let go of the world’s expectations, embrace the flaws that I have, and embody who Christ made me to be. He made me new, and He makes me new every single day.

Somewhere along the way, I had to look deep down within me and decide who I wanted to be, who God created me to be, and who He was asking me to become.

Somewhere along the way, I stopped truly caring what others thought. Any time I say that, I always get the one person who says, “Of course you care what others think. Everyone does to some degree.” And they would be half right. There is a small, inner circle group of people whose opinions I value, treasure, and cherish and I DO care about

what they think. As for the others? I truly don’t mind what they think, especially about me.

Somewhere along the way, I had to look deep down within me and decide who I wanted to be, who God created me to be, and who He was asking me to become. I had to let go of what my flesh wanted me to think of

I’m not exactly sure when it was that I decided to shed the cares about what others think about me. I think one day I just got fed up enough that I took a stand for myself. I vowed to breathe confidence and to overcome my fear of what others thought of me. I chose to decide what I loved to put on my body and to wear it confidently. I chose to purchase things that made me happy and that made me feel

good, even if they didn’t and don’t match. I chose to forgo living by what the fashion magazines were telling me and our society, and to choose where I wanted to fit in.

We all have a choice about where we belong, even in fashion. And I was sick of allowing others to tell me where I fit in. And when I thought long and hard, this is ultimately what I heard the Lord tell me: “Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.” Proverbs 31:30 You see, I think fashion, clothes, accessories and style are all very, very fun. I love going shopping as much as the next person, and I love looking put together, feeling good in my skin, and wearing things that I feel pretty in. But at the end of the day, this isn’t where my hope lies. It isn’t where my worth comes from.

The Bible tells me that charm is deceptive and beauty doesn’t last.

That could mean aging, yes, but I also think that it’s telling me that placing our hope in those things won’t bring us fulfillment. That finding our hope in things of this world, how we look, and in stuff won’t bring us ultimate fulfillment that we are all search for and desire. It’s all going to pass away, and what we ARE left with is our heart.

Here is what I know: I am a child of God. He thinks I’m beautiful. I have flaws, because we live in a fallen world. There is nothing I need to do to obtain perfection. God loves me just as I am. Jesus died for it all too. God asks us to take care of our bodies. But I believe that this it to be without comparison, guilt, self-hatred, or reaching goals that are unattainable. God wants us to feel beautiful. He thinks we are beautiful. This is different than the world’s standards of beauty. He asks us to throw off everything that trips us up. And to follow Him. So, with that as my compass, I decided to live in this world and enjoy the things the Lord has given us. I love clothes, makeup, design, and trends. But at the end of the day, I decide what goes on my body and what doesn’t. I decide what makes me feel pretty, and what isn’t for me. And I’ve learned to live in the confidence of not

caring what others think about my outfit choices mostly because I already now exactly where I stand with my heavenly Father.

He has made me, ME. I’m not meant to fall in line with every single trend, style, magazine or fad.

He has given me a brain and my own opinions and it’s totally ok if I choose where I want to fit, and it’s also ok if it doesn’t blend perfectly with society. I love finding clothes that make me FEEL good, that make me shine and that I can wear confidently no matter what. I love finding things that fit MY mold instead of fitting the mold of everyone else.

I want to be exactly who God created me to be.

ME. I challenge you to step outside of your closet and to decide what it is that you DO like. What really makes you feel beautiful? What makes you

Style is , of course , subjective . What I think is stylish for my four year old is not always what she thinks is stylish and vice versa ! Style is the way we do something or the way we have grouped things together . The fact it ’ s different for everyone is what makes it fun .

Not everyone puts much thought or care into the way they dress , but style is my passion .

Styling women , perfectly created with the bodies God gave them , is my calling . Simple adjustments from culling what ’ s hanging in your closet to tweaking the colors of your go to accessories can make a huge difference in your look and boost confidence .

My two daughters have forever changed my heart and lit it on fire . My goal is for them to grow up feeling loved , loving themselves , loving each other , and ultimately finding their confidence in God alone . When I think about being their role model I get excited and a little scared . What do I want to teach them ? What values do I want to instill ? How

can I help them to let their light shine bright ? Each morning , when I get dressed I think about this . I am intentional with what I choose to wear because I have their little eyes watching me and copying what I am doing . I communicate to them how to be a woman , what a woman is and how to love themselves . I model this through my words , my actions and my style .

In addition to my daughters , I am deeply committed to my husband of seven years .

Most days , he is the first person to see me get dressed . I want him to see the confident and beautiful woman I know God created me to be .

Another lesson we can take away from the red carpet and apply into everyday life is how important it is to know the current trends. Whether you are an everyday fashionista or have an event coming up, knowing what is in style and will work for you will be hugely helpful. A little online research and personal observation in this area will go a long way as trends change quickly. Do you like bright, bold colors? Go for it. Or maybe metallic embellishments? A few jewels can go far in adding some sparkle to look. Do you have a favorite neckline or hemline that works well for you? The impact of interesting and flattering style of dress shouldn’t be overlooked.

A good rule is find one or two areas to focus onfocusing on EVERYTHING will be too much. Have a main focus and shoot all your arrows at that target.

And there is such thing as too much of a good thing.

You don’t want try every single trend within one outfit, instead pick a few things that stand out to you and work well together- for instance, maybe you have an event where you want to wear a plunging neckline and an interesting hair piece in the back of your hair. This works well because they aren’t competing, instead they are working together to complete your outfit. But if you are wearing a deep neckline then be aware that you probably should be a little more conservative in the other areas of your outfit. It really is a sign of class to leave a little something to the imagination.

Let’s not forget the importance of accessories…The way an outfit is style can either sink it or make is soar! There are a couple different ways you can look accessories: Statements or delicate. Right now, delicate gold is very trendyespecially geometric shapes and natural looking jewels (druzy or opal for example). And if you are looking for something to really set you apart and sparkle then look for a great statement necklace. Adding some light and shimmer around your face is always a great idea, it only enhances your natural inner glow.

Remember to keep expectations realisticunless you have a team of stylists and makeup artists along with a huge budget, it’s not fair to compare yourself to the celebrities. You can take inspiration from Hollywood and learn techniques for hair and makeup, but don’t hold yourself to the same standard as an A-list celebrity.

That’s not fair to you. Also, we have a family motto that seems applicable “there is no win in comparison,” this applies to just about everything in life- even fashion.

If you love something, whether it is considered trendy or not, go for it. Above all, you want to feel great. Think about what makes you come alive and feel most like yourself…And own it, confidently.

Confidence goes a long way, as does a smile and kindness…and truly those are the things that are often the most attractive about a person’s style.

Is there a certain article of clothing you just love? We can call it your “go to.” I can think of a few items. But, I would say hands down my most favorite piece of clothing I own are my leggings. And not just any leggings, LuLaRoe leggings. If you haven’t heard of that company or own any of their glorious leggings, you my friend are missing out. They are literally the softest, most comfortable leggings I have ever had the pleasure of owning (and not to mention I think they are flattering). 1. Thank you so much for being willing to do this interview this month! We are excited to feature you here!! To begin, tell us a little bit about your lifestyle: who you are, your family, and where you work!

Thanks so much for thinking of me for your next interview! A little about me… I’m a born Californian, turned Arizonian (Go Sun Devils!), turned Texan…er, Austinite to be exact. I am married to my college sweetheart and together we have an almost 12 year old rescue pup and almost 2 year old daughter. I work for a non profit as a creative manager and associate magazine editor and run a photography business as my side-hustle.

I had to give myself permission to say “no.” I’m a people pleaser and hate upsetting people. But being a mom has really taught me what my priorities are.

I’m also getting back into the groove of exercising regularly. And we do it as a family. It’s fun. We put our daughter in the stroller and go running or walking just the three of us. It’s a way to get out and focus on my wellbeing while still spending time with my family.

6. What is your favorite style of photography and why?

Documentary. Hands down. Documentary is literally that…I document lives. Nothing is posed. Nothing is scripted. I walk into a home and document the little moments that make our lives so uniquely us. From making coffee in the morning to reading books together to guitar jam sessions. Whatever it is that a family loves doing together, I love documenting.

In fact I’m doing a few documentary personal projects. It’s so fun photographing my own life in that style. Just capturing what I see and feel in the moment.

7. What is something you face daily that is a challenge for you?

Probably taking time for me. Some days it’s non-existent.

But I’m trying hard to give myself at least 15 minutes a day. Even if it’s sitting in my office at lunch and just being. That’s actually one of the things I’m working on this year. Finding more time for me. If not daily, at least weekly.

There are so many styles of parenting. So many styles of being a mom.

Yet, we are all in this journey of motherhood together, aren’t we? So let’s get with our sisters and lift each other up in our strengths and support one another’s weaknesses. After all, they say it takes a village to raise a child and it is so true. We were not created to be alone. We were designed for relationship and to lean on one another.

No matter what our parenting style is, there are a few things, as moms, that we need to remember: * We are in this together and need to support one another * We all have strengths – let’s utilize them as a body for the sake of our children * We all have weaknesses – let’s not be ashamed of what those are, but support one another and lift each other up when we need we all need to give ourselves a little bit of grace Let’s combine our “styles” and join together as a force for good in the lives of our children, marriages, families and homes. You are the mom God created you to be and exactly who your children need. Be encouraged today in who YOU are, embrace your style, and let’s lift each other up in this wonderful, crazy, amazing, challenging, and rewarding time of motherhood.

Adam and Eve were in the Garden before they found the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil; they were without remorse and without guilt. Since the first bite was taken, there has been a plethora of ways to find our identity again. Jesus already gave us our new wardrobe: covering instead of shame, peace instead of anxiety, love instead of judgement. In all the ways we try to find our identity once again, we can choose what we put on.

We are a technology driven society.

It’s not necessarily good; it’s not necessarily bad. It just is. It’s the tool we have to work with at this time. It gives us a way to share ourselves, or “brand” ourselves, express our feelings and our creativity. It can make us or break us. What we see in the mirror or on our phones, is it reality? Are we clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, and discipline? Or is it something else?

My favorite way to create style is from the inside out. It’s easy to look at a picture of someone else and wonder how we relate. Do we compare, contrast, like it, or don’t like it? Do we look at other styles and judge or copy? Or do we do the hard work of finding our true selves? I’d rather do the work, celebrate myself, and partake of the celebration of others.

Let’s be honest. Clothes and accessories are fun! Social media is fun! Connection is fun! Women were made for beauty, inside and out. To find out who they are and to share it with their world. We can be who we want to be; God desires us to be full in our identity. But we do have choices. Here is a list of a few identity glitches I see most in the woman population:

Although many women dread their 30th birthday I whole heartedly embraced mine. My twenties were full of life change and with it many joys and struggles. I often noticed how women beyond their twenties seemed more grounded. Maybe they actually are or maybe they are just better at faking it, whatever the case I was determined to make my thirties better than the previous decade. I’ll be 34 next month and I can say in all honesty I’ve loved my thirties. So many things have changed in the last four years and I’m so thankful for that. I became a mom in this decade and God hasn’t stopped stretching me since then. He has grown me and healed me in areas I didn’t even know I needed. I can honestly say I’m not the same girl I

was in my twenties. I’m not even the same as I was a year ago. This decade has been so freeing! With it I’ve gotten to know myself better. I’m learning who I am and who I’m not. More importantly I’m learning to embrace Jesus’ love for me. I’m seeking to rest in who God says I am and embrace the truth his word says about me. One of the biggest things that have changed is my relationships. As I’ve become more comfortable with who I am my boundaries have changed, they’ve become healthier and better defined. I’ve learned how I best function in relationships, what I need, and what I have to give. I guess you could say I’ve found my relational style. Here are a few things I’ve learned about myself so far: STELLAR DAY MAGAZINE | 26

1. I straddle that line between introvert and extrovert. I love small group and one on one interaction, but am exhausted by talking to a bunch of new people. Sometimes I need time alone to recharge and other times I need dinner out with some friends.

2. I’m a phone person, I know that horrifies some of you but I actually like to talk on the phone. I feel like a dying breed but I really do need conversation beyond social media and text messages to really feel connected to someone.

3. Not surprisingly, I can talk a lot. I often joke that I have the spiritual gift of many words. A story that might take a friend 30 seconds to tell takes me a full two minutes.

4. I’m a verbal processor and need dialogue to help me

process through things. So if something is weighing on me I need my close friends to talk it through with me.

5. I like movies and shopping and other such fun things but in this stage of motherhood when I do get out I often just want to meet for coffee or dinner and actually have a real time conversation (and meal!) without a toddler interrupting me. As you may have guessed my daughter likes to talk a lot too.

6. I don’t do well with too much surface stuff. By that I mean I like to talk about all things home décor, Target finds, and hair trends but I need more meaningful conversation beyond that too. I’m more often in the conversational deep end than in the kiddie pool.

7. I don’t like to be the only one sharing the deeper stuff and hope you’ll share what’s on your

heart too.

Perhaps most importantly, I’ve learned to not just accept but embrace who I am. That was a bit of a process for me because I first had to figure out who I was apart from other people’s expectations.

For most of my life I allowed other people’s feelings to control me. I was like a chameleon, often adapting to what I thought others wanted or expected me to be. So although it’s taken me a while, I am finally able to appreciate how God made me. How He designed a personality and communication style unique to me. Knowing these things helps me see how I best relate to others and how I function in friendships. I’ve become a better wife, sister, daughter, friend, and mother for it. If you don’t already know your relational style I encourage you to do some reflecting and figure it out. Your relationships will be better for it!

Reflecting The Good Style has always been a difficult concept for me. As a girl who struggled with being confident in her own skin, let alone clothing to display the body I was born with, in the past I have hidden in my clothes. As I've grown, I've had to come to terms with how I look, and the reality that style isn't simply a surface level description of whoI am. Style is and has become my outward expression of who God made me to be.

I've never been a frilly girl; I like clean lines, neutral colors, and stripes. I wear little jewelry and I like natural make up with pops of color on my lips. I have piercings and tattoos that subtly point to who I believe God has shaped me into. A cross adorns my right wrist, "worthy" is on my left. I have the Hebrew word "selah" on my foot, reminding me to be still and reflect on what God has done.

I want my style to point people to Jesus. I want them to know by looking at me that my heart is for what troubles theirs, that I'm creative and open to what the Holy Spirit can do, and that I value my body enough to continually work towards health.

I want them to know that while I like looking good, helping people work through the crap that brings them down makes me feel better.

I believe that style is confidence, grace, understanding, selfworth, and the ability to sit with people in their messy. It's not the perfect contour, the best vibrant lip color, or the biggest and smoothest hair. Style is looking good, but reflecting the good of the Creator who has made us, shaped us, and molded us.

If you’re feeling festive this month in lieu of Valentine’s Day, this would be the treat to try!

It’s healthy, it’s low on the calories, and it’s easy to whip up. AND it’s dip. You can’t beat it!

Ingredients: 1/2 cup plain Greek Yogurt 1 tbsp cocoa powder 2 tsp coconut sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/16 (a couple drops) almond extract Dash of salt Apple, strawberries, or fruit of choice Directions 1. Mix all ingredients (minus the fruit) in a small bowl.

2. Wash and slice apple. Cut into wedges or prepare other fruit of choice. Dip. Enjoy!

We’ve had a LOT of cloudy days here in Arizona this winter! More than normal, and if it’s not more than normal, it sure feels that way!

I came across this Clean Eating Taco Soup recipe by Grounded & Surrounded, and I just knew it had to be shared. May there be many more cloudy days this winter, and if there’s not well, I’m gonna eat this soup anyways. Plus, this recipe includes do it yourself taco seasoning! You can’t beat that!

EAT GOOD FEEL GOOD TACO SEASONING INGREDIENTS 5 tbsp chili powder 4 tbsp ground cumin 1 tsp ground coriander 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/4 tsp cayanne pepper 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes DIRECTIONS 1. Place all spices in a small jar.

2. Tightly seal with a lid and shake.

3. Store this seasoning for months in your pantry or cupboard!

TACO SOUP INGREDIENTS 1 lb ground meat (turkey, beef, venison) 1 onion, diced 1 bell pepper, diced 1 small zucchini, diced 2 cups frozen corn or 15 oz can 28 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained 15 oz can of beans, undrained (kidney, black, or pinto beans) 2 cups water 3 Tbsp homemade taco seasoning or 1 packet 1 packet ranch seasoning or salt and pepper DIRECTIONS 1. In a large pot, brown the meat. Add in remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes. Taste.

2. Add more seasoning such as chili or cayenne powder, salt, or pepper if needed.

3. You can stir in a generous drip of Frank's Hot Sauce to kick it up a notch!

4. Top with plain Greek yogurt, shredded cheese, tortilla chips, avocado, or lime wedges!

BY DANIELLE NESPER When I wake up in the morning and get ready for the day that doesn't necessarily mean putting on makeup or the cutest top in my closet. That being said style means a whole heck of a lot to this girl! I have been a true definition of girly girl all my life. I love fashion, clothing, and the hustle and bustle of retail for a very, very long time. I wanted to be a fashion designer for years (still do), I have sketched clothing and still do from time to time, when I don't have a 4 year old climbing all over me and I actually take some creative time for myself. I even made a few of my own clothing pieces back in the day that probably no one even knows about because I'm extremely shy when it comes to my work.

My mom taught me how to sew when I was young. She also taught me about makeup, jewelry, dress up, enjoying being a girl, and all the wonderful things that come with it!

woman of God, motherhood, and a whole lot more. Throughout each season of my life so far my style has changed. Some seasons I care about how I look, but not in an insecure way. I genuinely just love dressing up and being girly! Some seasons I had spit up in my hair and crusty dried baby food on my shirt!

Style is an interesting word because we have made style this fashion word when in all actuality it’s first definition states that it is “a manner of doing something” and the second definition for it talks about “a distinctive appearance.” I'm all for us individually having our own distinct appearance. I champion that actually! I have a shoe obsession just like the next girl! Raise your hand if you're with me shoe girls!! But as I've gotten older, and to be honest less superficial, I have really come to understand style as being about who we are on the inside much more than what's on the outside. What does my

I want my daughter to see that I can put myself together with makeup, cute clothes and those stinking cute leather Lucky bootie shoes I just got for Christmas but I can also own my true beauty and walk about town and just let my inner style shine!

My challenge to all of us is to give our beautiful faces, makeup or no makeup, a break from time to time and just inhale that confidence and exhale all of that doubt! Be proud of who you are and what you look like! People will judge us no matter what we do so why not just allow yourself to be YOU and be confident in your style? Exhale that doubt girl! Fresh grated ginger brings warmth to any beverage. Cinnamon can be sprinkled on oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, and easily added to anything you bake.

Christians have their own style . Not the cat - walk down the church aisles and Sunday - best kind but a style of worship , rituals , and perhaps traditions where they feel the most comfy , cozy , and homey in God ’ s house . It ’ s funny , growing up ‘ churched , ’ I never fully related to the style of sermonizing and worship music in my church and had a feeling that one day , I would have to find a church home that was ‘ more me ’ . So as a young married couple we start visiting and feeling churches out … some were not intimate enough or too big , others felt too loosey goosey while others too stiff and obligatory . Eventually , we settled into a Lutheran church that felt like it bridged my non denominational roots with

my husband ’ s Catholic upbringing . Not an easy thing to find , but you could say that in it , we felt a mutually acceptable comfort zone .

We ’ ve all been here at one point in time in our church journey and maybe some of us now forgo church altogether because it doesn ’ t quite seem to fit with our family ’ s different personalities or individualized comfort levels . Maybe for you , church never quite felt just right like it did for the little bear in the childhood fable who burned his tongue on porridge before he finally found his perfect creature comforts . Because we are after all , human and therefore selfish by nature , and desire a custom - tailored

church experience ( and if we could place our orders , one that has service times scheduled perfectly after baby ’ s nap time or maybe earlier so we don ’ t miss our favorite football team ! ) .

But what I ’ ve learned over the years is that , the church is not defined by the music leader , the priest ’ s robes , or the hipster pastor ’ s modern day skinny jean ’ s ; the folding chairs in the gymnasium turned church or the stately , wooden pews ; it ’ s defined by our hearts . We are the Church , we are His people and if we walk with Jesus in our hearts , we can walk through most church doors regardless of denomination and find Him there .

I used to think that I could never get anything out of a

Catholic mass when I visited with my husband , a born - and - bred - New - York forever - Irish - Catholic . I just couldn ’ t relate to the traditions , the eulogy , the up - down kneel - sit - up - down - kneel thing , and the boring music . I was going because I wanted to honor where he felt the most comfortable but I preferred our home church ’ s contemporary service , a bible available in my church pew , the cry room available for my little bear , and what my husband calls its ‘ rock - n - roll ’ musical style . I could have told you several other reasons why Catholic church wasn ’ t for me , never would be and why I just didn ’ t feel God there . But one day , God woke me up in mass when I asked , “ Lord , help me get something out of this today . Show me that you are here ” . And He answered , My child , show Me that YOU ARE HERE , completely present and willing to receive me . Don ’ t overthink the stuff , the style , the denomination , the shoulds / should nots , the organ “

versus the drum set , heads bowed versus hands lifted . I am here with you and everyone else . Yes , you worship differently and uniquely but so does everyone else . Can ’ t you find Me everywhere ? Look again … If you can see Me in the sunrise and in the ocean tide , you can see me here , right next to you , and beside that woman in front of you and holding that small child ’ s hand , and touching that priest on his shoulder . Will you accept my invitation and open your heart to feel and your eyes to see Me ? ” And oh my goodness , did the tears flow as I felt the Holy Spirit doing a work in my discomfort . Of Him saying , don ’ t let your stylistic expectations of what feels comfortable or ‘ right ’ get in the way of Him .

Wherever two or more are gathered , I am there - that ’ s His promise - with the Lutherans , the Catholics , the Methodists , the Pentecostals and even those who don ’ t know who they are or belong to just yet .

And when you really realize this , those words in that boring hymn start filling you with His grace , mercy , peace , love , and hope . And then you catch yourself finding meaning in the message and just know the pastor / priest fashioned it with you specifically in mind .

And the prayer that once seemed so rote and obligatory , comes alive as you dive into its words one by one and reflect on what you are saying in community with others . And you feel Jesus in all his glory in that communion wafer and wine and you are struck with awe for his life - giving sacrifice . And instead of getting lost in religion , you get lost in Him . You understand that you were not meant to subscribe to religiosity , but to God ’ s love which , if we are willing , will reach us in any setting , both within and outside of our four walls , and in every environment .

Sometimes we get so set in our ways that things feel uncomfortable when we step out into different territory . But maybe we need to lean into that discomfort so we can understand that our selfish nature is often our own worst enemy . It gets in the way of fellowshipping with other believers , of appreciating how we collectively and personally , commune with Him . Maybe you ’ re the opposite of me . Maybe you ’ re used to the structure of your ‘ fill in the blank denomination ’ and feel discomfort in non denominational churches . What could God be asking you to consider in that discomfort zone ? Maybe to trust in His wisdom and discernment , or to go deeper in your expression of his love ? Maybe this scares you because everyone else seems so different in how they praise God . Could you pray about that and ask God to help you understand why it scares you ? If like me , you

release yourself of the expectation of what church looks or feels like , could you go deeper with God , could you understand that being part of one body of believers means releasing ourselves of an us - versus - them mentality ? I ’ m not suggesting church shopping and I ’ m not suggesting a Catholic become a Bible church - goer or vice versa , but I am suggesting that maybe there ’ s something we can discover in communion with others and about our relationship with God if presented with the opportunity to visit other churches and ask Him to take down our guard just a little .

While my husband will always be Catholic and I will always be more of a rock - n - roll kind of church girl , I know that I must keep this open heart with me no matter what kind of pew I sit in , no matter whose raising their hands in prayer or kneeling solemnly beside me . When we gather in His name , Jesus is always unfailingly , there . Show Him that YOU are there too .

EDITOR'S NOTE I'm gonna be really honest here. I was super nervous about this theme.

WHY?

Well, mostly because we have all worked so hard to create something amazing, incredible, and pure and I didn't want it to all be ruined with a superficial magazine full of ideals and normalcies that we are all already slammed with every day. So I almost pulled the plug and changed the theme at the last minute.

This couldn't possibly be the theme that the Lord spoke to me. I heard Him wrong.

But then I centered my heart and remembered that He DID ask me to move forward with this theme. He asked me to move into uncharted territory and to move forward with the theme that intimidates me so.

And so we did it.

I can't even begin to express my heartfelt and overwhelming since of gratitude and camaraderie as I watched this issue piece together. It's another testimony to the fact that when you relinquish control, the Lord can do awesome and mighty things.

I love that this issue is the perfect mix of fun, serious, heart, soul, and design. I love that we can have fun with style and that we can keep it in perspective. I love being a woman and I love that this issue encourages you to embrace that.

I love that these women captured my vision and completely and wholly blew my expectations out of the water. This issue is amazing.

Style truly embraced at last.
