Stefano Epis’ works are characterized by an experimental use of typography, which goes beyond its simple communicative purpose.
Each letter is treated as an independent entity, capable of communicating its own meaning.
Stefano creates a real visual universe, in which letters combine and overlap to create unique patterns and shapes.
There are women with whom deep empathy can be established immediately. “I Love You” is dedicated to just one of these. Created with his decomposed language, and becoming one of his best-known works.

He hardly ever uses colors, but only black on white is an artistic choice that reflects his vision and his personal style. White represents purity and innocence while black evokes mystery and depth. This immediate impact captures the attention of the viewers and the black on white highlights the shapes and lines of my messages.

He is an artist whose talent lies in the art that calls him to himself. His hand draws with a looseness and freedom that seem to escape any rational control. His works were born spontaneously, sometimes taking shape even before he conceived the idea himself. It’s as if his hands were guided by an external force, a mysterious presence that inspires and guides him through the creative process.

‘I am Snob’ is a silent, yet powerful cry of protest. It invites us to overcome stereotypes and to ignore the superficial judgments that are inflicted on us. In a world where progress seems to be measured only by the type of brands we own or the places we frequent, the work “I am Snob” urges us to ask ourselves if this is really what defines our value as individuals. Are we really free to think and act beyond social conventions and labels?

Sometimes, Stefano starts an opera and then resumes it after several months, feeling that it has not yet reached its full development, nor ready to see the light of day. It’s hard to say if it’s his emotions, or rather his vibrations, that trigger the impulse to create one thing rather than another. However, what is certain is that he loves to find himself, at the end of the day, with his fingers dirty with ink and glue.

It invites us to be aware of our actions and the words we speak, trying to promote the positive.
