How to Overcome Grief In Your Life

Pastor Sandra Randle is the founder of both Rise Up In His Glory Church and Women on Fire By GOD (a prayer ministry for all).

Before one can conquer grief in their life they have to be able to acknowledge their pain. If you are overcoming grief You have to accept that grief can trigger many different and unexpected emotions.

Knowing that your grieving process will be unique to you as people grieve differently. Once you understand this process you will be able to seek out faceto-face support from people who care about you. These persons will be equipped to support you emotionally and help you to take care of yourself physically.

In the midst of your grief you must know that GOD is with You and that He loves You and He will never leave You or forsake You. You are cherised in the hands of the almighty and this too shall pass.

How would You encourage others that are going through grief?

I would encourage them to know there is hope on the other side of this pain. Do not seep Yourself in the pain and continue to relive it. Find a way to let it go. Even if you have to remind yourself to let it go multiple times daily You can do this. If you feel the need find an equipped therapist or counselor that can counsel you through Your journey. There are different types of grief and we all grieve differently, but no one has to stay in a dark or hurting place.

GOD is with You and He will provide You help as You ask Him. Remember to find your way to release Your pain and if You can just laugh through it.

Grief is associated with deep sorrow, which can have a long-lasting negative effect on an individual in all aspects of life (mentally, emotionally, physically, socially, financially and etc). If an individual continues to walk under grief their life will continue to spiral down a dark path that can lead to anxiety, separation, loneliness, rejection, feelings of abandonment, and detachment issues. These feelings can make it hard to keep healthy relationships and possibly make it harder to create new ones. Living under grief's influence can also effect how an indivdual treats oneself, how they love, and percieve others and lead to premature death. As a believer who follows Christ, the way to elimanate grief and its long lasting effects, which can lead to detrimental outcomes, is to cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain You. The Lord will never let the righteous be shaken, so cast your cares upon Him because continuing to live under the influence of greif only leads to more grief.

Pain can be cruel and yet as all cruel things are easy to come by.

Grief is a gift for the ones who can afford to not be pitted, taken by charity, or to be sunken into resentment.

So live in the light and rejoice in the days of freedom.

Though the outbreak brought much loss and chaos it also brought much calm. If you allowed GOD to move in your life and used the resources that He provided for You; You may have noticed how He breathed good in calamity.

we just want the chaos to go away and GOD is trying to reveal something concerning us, his timing, his truth, or his answer. We have to learn to be still and await GOD's promises even if He has to sit us down as a nation to get our attention.

If you face decisions and need answers use this time to seek Him for them.

Unleash Unplugging can also be a good time to learn new things about You and Your thoughts. Take some time to write down a list of the things You feel You need to do or all the things that are bothering You (often called a brain dump). After writing these things down separate them into categories such as: need vs. want, prioritize now vs. wait on it, and so forth. Some items on your lists may be continual and may need to be placed on a running list (a list that you constantly add to and check off as needed-many of these things may be miscellaneous or constant priorities). As You organize your thoughts You may notice You become less anxious and GOD gives You strategies to resolve those issues.

Ungrieved Though chaos may be around You it doesn't have to be a part of You, You don't have to settle in it. You can command that chaos to behave and submit to the power of GOD that is in You. If You are not aware of how to do this Pray for GOD to lead You to a Bible-believing church that can teach You the ways of spiritual warfare.

In a world where there is so much to participate in, surround Yourself in, and etc. make it a point to trust GOD through Your process and stay UNGRIEVED.

Who Comforts You? BY: PURELY STEF

In the past when going through stages of depression and anxiety, mostly anxieties I had to remember who comforted me.

If you are facing traumatic events, pain, drama, hopelessness, and despair You have to remember who comforts You. Remember GOD said He will wipe Your tears away, that He will comfort You, that He will not turn away from You even when You're hurting.

Remember GOD comforts You. GOD can comfort You by sending an encouraging word through a friend, giving you laughter through something funny on TV, or you just receiving acknowledgment or a Thank You from a kind gesture that you performed.

One of the easiest ways to come out of grief is to ask GOD to show you the true issue of your heart and once He reveals You knock that issue out of You with Prayer, Worship, and Praise.

You don't have to settle in grief when You know who comforts You.

The Grief Gap BY: PURELY STEF As April is the month Christians celebrate the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ our savior I felt it befitting to title this edition of the magazine Ungrieved. As Jesus walked the earth He was not grieved. When hard circumstances came up He would tell it how to behave. He would also instruct His disciples and those that sought Him for healing and their personal needs to be ungrieved.

Jesus devoted His life to Prayer and completing the calling of GOD on His life. Through Prayer, He was able to connect with His (Our) Heavenly Father and gain instruction and insight on what to do next. Jesus did not concern himself with popularity or the cares of this world, He took care of the tasks before Him and taught others to do the same.

Remember Jesus understood and still understands our needs as humans and as Christians. He understands death, being misunderstood, needing to spend more time with His Heavenly Father, living balanced, being tempted, and anything else Satan will throw at You.

Jesus also showed us how to live without bowing to the lies Satan brings before us.

Nothing You or I go through can cause Jesus to cringe. He will come and be in the midst of it with us. We can lean on Him. We can walk ungrieved.

If this is a struggle for You, go to the word of GOD the rule book for life and ask GOD to reveal your solution. Ask Him to help You walk as Jesus walked seeking and following His instructions, ask Him for wisdom, and to direct Your path and heal your pain. He will do it as You trust Him. Even when Jesus knew His time on earth was ending He prepared the heart of His disciples to be ungrieved to continue to walk the earth and do the work of our Heavenly Father, a work that He completed, but we must carry out.

Don't allow grief to be a gap between You and the life God has called You to live.

Let us celebrate the work of Jesus and continue to be as He was compassionate, always Praying, seeking GOD for instruction, and walking among the earth ungrieved.

Growing with people. Personal Growth. Growth for destiny.

All of the above have been hard for me at times. In my growth, I had to realize I didn't like change because sometimes I didn't understand the transition. Though I have always been open to GOD moving in me and using me as His vessel sometimes I just didn't understand. I didn't understand how to let certain people go. Many times letting go hurt, sometimes it was too hard and too much. In these times when life or my thoughts became too much I I would run to my Heavenly Father. I would ask Him questions, some of the answers came quickly as if GOD had been waiting for me to ask Him the question to show me the truth. Sometimes the answer didn't come so I continued to seek Him. I grasped some answers as I spent time in nature, some came through a movie or TV show (when I finally decided to watch something besides a YouTube tutorial). Sometimes the answer didn't come, but my spirit was content and I was able to rest in the fact that GOD heard me and He was just not ready to answer.

I encourage You to trust GOD in every area of Your growth, even if it seems You are not growing trust that you are growing daily. You are moving towards a better You, a more purposeful life, trust GOD and seek Him in every part of your journey. Trust Him as You grow.

PURE PRIORITIES

Ways To Stay Ungrieved BY:PURELY STEF

Praying Prayer is a conversation with GOD your Heavenly Father, it should not be a monologue ( a one-sided conversation) about the things you want it should be a time of quiet. A time where you are eager to not only express your concerns and desires, but a time where you allow God's voice to refresh and renew your spirit.

Worshipping Worship and reverence GOD with all Your heart. Again it should be a time of quiet. Your mind should be undistracted and ready to give GOD some adoration and receive some as well. Feel free to sing to GOD or play some of your favorite music and pour Your love on Him.

Look Ahead Looking ahead helps you to not grieve.

To look forward You have to know and feel that there is hope before You. Having hope can be hard when You don't see the answers, change, or results that you seek. However GOD answers as we lean on Him. GOD wants us to have trust and Faith in Him. I encourage You today to Trust GOD and Look Ahead in Hope and Faith.

Taking Care of You Sometimes a simple bath or nap is what is needed to take care of You. If you have the means and it is possible work with GOD or your community to set up a self care routine to keep you refreshed, rejuvanated and at peace.

Always look to the scriptures of the Bible and ask GOD to lead you and give you more strategies to stay refreshed and renewed in Him.

Self-Care Tips A big part of being ungrieved is taking care of yourself consistently.

Journaling your emotions and dreams will help you care for yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. It will also help You see your personal growth and maturity in the mentioned areas.

Making sure you eat healthily, drink plenty of water, and taking the proper supplements to care for your body, will help you feel energized and help you carry out the tasks GOD has placed before You to carry out His will for Your life.

Reading can be refreshing and help you gain insight or just relax. If you have difficulty reading or staying focused there are apps with audiobooks where you can listen to a book of your choice at your pace.

Taking care of your skin with oils, lotions, serums, and exfoliants can be very beneficial and a great way to learn discipline and help you stay in a routinue.

Just resting can give you a great boost when life's journey is busy. Remember to give yourself grace, you can also set a timer or schedule your rest in your planner, so you can still lead a balanced life.

To be ungrieved you have to know how Satan tries to attack your mind so you can combat Him. Look at this list and write down any words you know Satan has used to attack You in the past or is trying to use to attack You currently in the present.

Find a scripture for the list of words and memorize each one to use as a weapon against these thoughts when they come to your mind or a tool to exercise to keep these thoughts away.

Purely Inspired Illustrations The Art Work

The Inspiration: During a simple birthday photoshoot, she walked with balloons in her hands and a multicolored teddy bear gift. I was inspired to use this photo as it captured the theme of being ungrieved and not looking back. The other was a compilation of a child sitting on a car (modified into a chair) being unbothered I added the teddy bear as a child-like symbol both young and old alike remember as a symbol of comfort to hold tight and dear.
