Bolted Seat Connections There are two types of bolted seated connections namely stiffened and unstiffened connections : If the reaction force at the end of the beam is large, then it is recommended to use stiffened connection type as it has the necessary strength to resist these forces. Whereas, in case of unstiffened connection type, there is a limit to resist the forces.
