“Bakasyon na, panahon na karon sa pagsuroy-suroy”, matod pa ni Papa Osmar. “Yehey!!!, nagdungan ang duha sa pagsinggit sa kalipay. "Kanus-a diay kita manuroy?"Inig human nato og pamahaw, manlakaw na kita”, sambit ni Mama Orlen.
Una nilang giadto ang simbahan sa Opon. Nakaabot pa sila sa misa sa obispo sulod sa simbahan. Gitawag ni Papa Osmar ang iyang mga anak nga mobiyahe pa sila paingon sa Oslob, llungsod sa Sugbo.

Iginuhit ni: Bernadette M. Baguio
Kambal sina Omar at Owen. Sila ay anak nina Aling Orlen at Man Osmar. Magkaparehong-magkapareho ang dalawa, kaya minsan ay mahirap kilalanin kung sino si Omar o si Owen.
Sila ay nakatira sa harapan ng ospital ng siyudad ng Opon. Isang umaga tumunog ng malakas ang orasan. Kring!!! Kring!!! Krinnnggg!!! “Bangon na mga anak, oras na ng agahan”, sabi ni nanay Orlen.
Dali-daling bumangon ang kambal, dali-daling iniligpit ang kanilang higaan at pagkatapos diretsong pumunta sa kusina.
“Yehey! Ang paborito kung sinabawang okrang gulay”, sabi ni Omar. “Paborito ko rin ang okoy”, sabi ni Owen. Pagkatapos nilang nag-agahan tinawag sila ng kanilang tatay Osmar.
“
Bakasyon na, panahon na ng pamamasyal”, sabi ni tatay Osmar. “Yehey!!!, sabay na sigaw ng kambal. “Saan po ba tayo mamasyal tatay Osmar?”, sabay na sabi ng kambal. “Pagkatapos nating kumain ng agahan aalis na tayo”, sabi ni nanay Orlen.
Una nilang pinasyalan ang simbahan ng Opon. Nadatnan pa ng pamilya ang misa ng Obispo. Sinabihan ni tatay Osmar ang kaniyang mga anak na kailangan pa nilang bumiyahe papuntang Oslob, sa lungsod ng Cebu.
Pagdating nila sa lugar ng Oslob nakita nila ang mga butanding o whale shark. Bumili din si nanay Orlen ng otap upang may makain din sila.
“Ang susunod na pupuntahan natin ay ang zoo”. Sabi ni nanay Orlen. “Sige po, gustong-gusto naming makita ang orangutan doon sabi ng kaibigan kung si Oscar”, sabi pa ni Owen.
Doon sa zoo nakita nila ang mga malalaking hayop kagaya ng orangutan, oso, leyon, tigre, giraffe at iba pa. May mga iba’t-ibang tanim din doon sa zoo.
“Wow, ang ganda ng mga orchids. May mga iba’t-ibang kulay at laki”, sabi ni nanay Orlen. Natuwa sa mga iba’t-ibang herbal na tanim, merong mga gabon, oregano, turmeric at sambong”, dagdag pa ni tatay Osmar.
Naaliw ang kambal habang pinapakain ng tagapangasiwa ng zoo ang mga orangutan. “Kuya, meron po akong otap maaari po bang bigyan ang mga orangutan nito?”, tanong ng kambal na sina Omar at Owen.
”Pasensya na bata, hindi pwedeng bigyan ng otap si Orang. Pero pwede kayo ang magbigay sa kanila ng hinog na saging”, sabi ng tagapangasiwa ng zoo. Sabay bigay ng saging sa dalawa.
“
Yipee!!! Salamat kuya ang lakas pala kumain ni Orang ng saging”, maligayang sabi ng kambal. “Takipsilim na!”, sabi ni tatay . Oras na para umuwi, sabi ni nanay Orlen.
Masayang umuwi habang nagkukwentuhan sa sasakyan ang pamilya. Nagpasalamat sila sa Panginoong Diyos sa magandang araw habang pauwi sila sa kanilang tahanan. -wakas-

THE TWINS
Omar and Owen are twin brothers. They are Orlen and Osmar’s children. They are identical twins, that is why sometimes it’s very hard to know who is Omar or Owen.
They live in front of Opon District Hospital. One morning the clock rang. Kring!!! Kring!!! Krinnnggg!!! “Wake up you two, breakfast is ready”, said mother Orlen.
The twins immediately rise up, kept their bed and went straight to the kitchen.
“Yehey! Our favorite vegetable okra soup”, said Omar. “My favorite fried okoy”, Owen said. After breakfast their father, Osmar called them.
“It’s time for our vacationl”, fathe Osmar said. “Yehey!!!, the twins both shouted. “Where are we going father?”, they twins both asked. “After breakfast, we will be going”, mother Orlen said.
They went to the Opon church first. The family arrived while the Bishop held the mass. The twins father told them that they need to travel for Oslob, one of the city of Cebu.
When they arrived in Oslob they saw the “butanding” or whale shark. Mother Orlen bought otap for them to eat along the way.
“Our next destination will be the zoo”, mother Orlen announced. “Yes, we love to see the orangutan there our friend Oscar told us about it”, said Owen.
There in the zoo they saw big animals just like the orangutan, bear, lion, tiger, giraffe and many more. There are also different kinds of plants in the zoo.
“Wow, what a beautiful orchids. There are many different colors and sizes”, mother Orlen said. She enjoyed the different herbal plants, there were gabon or sambong, oregano, turmeric and many more”, added father Osmar.
The twins enjoyed watching the zoo keeper fed the orangutan. “Kuya, can we feed the orangutan with otap?”, asked the twins.
”I’m sorry kids, otap is not allowed for Orang. But you can feed them with these ripe bananas”, the zoo keeper added. Handing over the bananas to the twins.
“Yipee!!! Thank you kuya Orang really likes banana”, the twins happily stated. “It’s almost dark now!”, father said . “It’s time to go home”, mother Orlen added.
On their way home the family happily talked about their short tour. They thank the Lord for their experiences.
