Get your Spring Celebration & Auction Tickets Today!
Join us for this year’s annual St. Columba Spring Celebration and Auction, which will take place on Saturday evening, April 27th. For the first time, this year we are hosting the event at the historic Strater Hotel.
This is the annual social event and auction where parents, faculty, alumni, and friends gather for an evening of FUN to support our School. Attendees will enjoy cocktails, dinner, dancing, student art, photo booth, dessert dash, and silent and live auction and more.
Buy Tickets
Tickets are $75 each and will include dinner, DJ, and dancing (there will be a cash bar). Tickets can be purchased HERE or using the QR code in the invitation above.
Auction Needs:
As always, your helping hands would be greatly appreciated in making this a successful event.
Classroom parents will be working together to create special baskets, student art, and experiences to be auctioned at the event. The baskets will have a theme and include curated, carefully selected items.
Contribute to the School Basket Fund: There is a single online school-wide collection for basket items. The suggested amount is $5-$10 per student, which will then be distributed among the room parents and volunteers to shop local, support our sponsors as much as we can, and create a basket that is smaller and less pricey than those in years past. You can donate to the basket fund HERE, or drop cash or check (payable to St. Columba School) off to Heidi.
The deadline to contribute to the basket fund is extended to Wednesday April 17th.
Here are the basket themes:
Kindergarten & 1st: Mexican Fiesta - to include a gift certificate for Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant and Star Liquor (school sponsors) and everything you need to enjoy the ultimate Mexican Fiesta.
2nd Grade: Home Refresh - to include gift certificates for Amy Rose Interiors and Urban Market (school sponsors) for a consultation and items to refresh your home or space by reconfiguring furniture, changing decor items or paint, and voila! Your space feels brand new.
3rd & 4th: Caring for your Pet - to include gift certificates for Riverview Animal Hospital (school sponsor) and local pet shops for pet care and items to care for your furry family members.
5th & 6th: Summer BBQ - to include gift certificates for Serious Texas BBQ and Star Liquor (school sponsors) and everything you need to host the ultimate summer BBQ.
7th & 8th: Care for your Car or Motorcycle - to include gift certificates to detail and clean your vehicle and merch from Durango Motor Company, Durango Harley Davidson, and Urban Market (school sponsors) for accessories, coffee cups, and/or water bottles.
Auction Experiences: The Auction Committee is also seeking auction items and experiences. Some examples of auction items for donation include Gift Certificates (Home Organization Consultation, Durango Hot Springs, etc.), Sports Tickets, Arts and Entertainment Tickets, Destination and Travel Opportunities, Unique Experiences: (Principal for a Day, Lunch with Your Teacher, Dad's Poker/Casino Night or Whiskey Tasting, Mom’s & Mimosa Day Hike, Family Fourteen-er Experience, Dad's Fly Fishing Experience, host a round of golf for four, wine tasting, etc. We encourage you to team up with another school family to host or provide one of these experiences to make this even more FUN! Please contact parentsassociation@stcolumbaschoolurango.org if you have a unique item or experience to donate.
Donate a Dessert to the Dessert Auction aka "Dessert Dash":
A sweet way to contribute to the auction. Please consider sponsoring a dessert to be auctioned at the event. Last year the Dessert Dash raised over $4,000 to support our School. All you have to do is order a dessert from one of the recommended locations in the link below (we want to make sure we have beautiful desserts so that guests bid high!) and bring it to The Strater Hotel on the day before or day of the event. Your family or business name will appear alongside the dessert and on the auction website. Thank you for your support! Please sign up HERE.
We would love to see you on April 27th! –The St. Columba Auction Committee parentsassociation@stcolumbaschooldurango.org

Spring Music Programs - April 24th
The K-4 Spring Program will be Wednesday, April 24th at 5:00 pm. Please join us for a night of songs from Movies and TV shows. The kids have worked really hard, and we can't wait to share this night with you! Performers are asked to wear either their school uniform or their Sunday best. Doors will open at 4:45 so that the performers can report to their classrooms and the audience can take their seats in the gym. Please look over the song lyrics with your students in these last few weeks before the show.
K-1 2-3 4
The Middle School Spring Concert (including all 5th graders) will be Wednesday, April 24th at 6:30 pm. The kids have prepared a fun night of Movie and TV show songs and other popular songs and are eager to perform for an audience! Students are asked to wear either their school uniform or school appropriate dressy clothes. Band students should arrive at 6:05 to assemble instruments and tune. The doors will open at 6:15 for all other performers and the audience.
