MAJOR OFFICIALS NEWSLETTER

EDITION SIX | 14.05.25

Dear all,

Welcome to the sixth edition of the Major Officials Newsletter. Last week we held this half term’s school council meeting, going through lots of your ideas, which we discussed in Fishes Lunch on Monday. Many of the Major Officials were away last week at the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas and the Gold DofE practice expedition in Wales.

It was brought up that there could be a digital clock placed on the pavilion on the field so people can make their way to lessons on time after break and lunch, acting as an alternative to a bell to go off at the end of lunch. We are planning to see if we can make this happen.

Regarding the leaf blowers disrupting lessons, we are aware that most people are affecting by this and so we have brought this up to Rich and we are going to discuss with the grounds team about alternatives.

As for lunch time clubs, we are looking into an Animal Care Club and we are researching the possibility of starting a lunch time swimming club at the pool, perhaps rotating year groups each session.

The 24 hour charity run is this Friday, May 16 . We are raising money for TRACKS Autism and Sport in Mind, and the JustGiving pages can be found on the most recent Friday Round-Up for donations. Please feel free to help throughout the school day by just running a few laps, and if you have signed up to run after school up until 9pm, please remember to come along! th
