GENDER AND WOMEN'S STUDIES Are you passionate about women’s rights and advocacy? Does breaking through barriers and stereotypes sound rewarding? Would you enjoy working to make the world a more just and equitable place? We’ve championed the women’s perspective since 1905, when we became a women’s university founded by women. And we teach Gender and Women’s Studies like no other. This program prepares you to think critically, work with others unlike yourself, act on social justice issues, and move toward social equity. Its classes draw from biology, English and philosophy, among others. What’s more, you will graduate with strategies for justice outside our walls. Gender and Women’s Studies makes a strong double major or minor, and 50% of its majors choose to combine it. Many use this foundation to go on to graduate school and pursue careers in law, medicine, corporate leadership, clinical psychology, and more.
