COMMUNICATION STUDIES AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA STUDIES Do you enjoy speaking to groups? Do you think about different communities and cultures and ways to collaborate with them to meet their needs or goals? Do you want to understand and improve your own persuasion and leadership skills? Becoming an effective communicator is valuable both professionally and personally. We focus on leaders from across cultures and contexts, examining how they deal with challenges and seek out opportunities to meet the needs of their communities. Our professors will share their passion for responsible use of language in all its forms, and will work with you to master the craft. Pursue a broader communication studies degree, or choose to focus your skills with a bachelor’s in electronic media studies. Our graduates go into professions such as recruitment and human resources, public relations, radio and television production, journalism, social and digital media, sales, and more.
COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST Develop strategies and communications for both internal and external audiences across many different channels PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER Execute campaigns that strengthen the relationship between an organization and its key audiences/stakeholders. JOURNALIST Gather information and tell compelling stories through media outlets in written, audio, or video form
