HENRIETTA SCHMOLL SCHOOL OF HEALTH

70+ years age of St. Kate’s nationally recognized program
Want to help people lead more fulfilling lives?
Occupational therapists help people of all ages engage in the activities that they want to do, need to do, or used to do! They might teach a toddler how to feed themself or a person who has had a stroke to dress themself one-handed.
The Program A graduate degree is required to enter the occupational therapy profession. St. Kate’s is one of the few universities in the United States to offer a dual degree program that enables you to complete the first year of graduate or doctoral curriculum while still an undergraduate student. U.S. News and World Report consistently ranks our program among the nation’s best!
The Classes Pre-OT students must complete eight prerequisite courses before entering the graduate program: two semesters of anatomy and physiology; general, lifespan developmental and abnormal psychology; sociology; statistics; and medical terminology. Once in the graduate level, you take courses in neuroscience, kinesiology, evidence-based practice, human occupation, mental health, rehab, and older adults.
