SAINTS SCENE The Saints Experience Rebuilt Dear Saintsmen, Families & Community
CELEBRATION! The purple clad St. Augustine High School Class of 2022 jumped for joy, including Grant Gayhart, at the closing of the school’s graduation ceremony. Shouts of “we made it,” and “it’s over” echoed through Sanders Gym. All 175 seniors became alums after the 98th graduation ceremonies concluded.
We have finally made it to the end of another successful year at Saints. All of this year’s achievements Principal James Horne affirm our pride and excitement about the mission of educating young men in the Augustinian tradition. Our focus as a school community this year, among other things, was Rebuild and Rebirth. The Night We All Remember Saints Senior Prom
The Prom made a fabulous return for 2022 as a senior only event. The fabulous and well attended dance was held at the Westin Hotel’s downtown ballroom included a full dinner with live music dancing. Continued on page 21
San Diego Bishop McElroy Named Cardinal Late last month, Bishop Robert McElroy, who has presided over Mass on campus at St. Augustine High School several times, has been named one of 21 new Cardinals by Pope Francis, according to Very Reverend Gary Sanders, O.S.A. (’67), a member of St. Augustine High’s Board of Directors. "I cannot tell you how happy I am that Bishop McElroy has been named a cardinal!,” said Fr.
