A campus favorite, the Homecoming Parade is a vibrant celebration of ASU spirit. Student orgs, campus groups, and local businesses roll through Downtown Tempe with custom floats, music, and tons of maroon and gold. Don’t miss it—it's a true Sun Devil spectacle!
Held the night before Homecoming, Lantern Walk is one of ASU’s oldest and most cherished traditions. Students, alumni, and staff hike up “A” Mountain carrying lanterns, lighting the path in a symbolic show of unity, pride, and Sun Devil spirit. It’s an unforgettable view and a powerful way to feel connected to the ASU community.
One of the fiercest rivalries in college football, the annual ASU vs. UArizona game isn't just about bragging rights—it's about history. The Territorial Cup is the oldest rivalry trophy in the country, dating back to the days when Arizona was still a U.S. territory. It’s Sun Devils vs. Wildcats, and it’s always personal.
Before kickoff, head to Sparky’s Touchdown Tailgate for games, music, giveaways, performances, and more. It’s the perfect way to rally with fellow Sun Devils before cheering on the team. Be sure to check out the Student Zone for exclusive student perks!
Show your school spirit every week by rocking gold on Fridays! It’s a simple but powerful way for students, faculty, and staff to show off their Sun Devil pride and keep the campus glowing in gold.
When it’s game day, students light up the stands in The Inferno, ASU’s electrifying student section. Decked out in gold and full of energy, Sun Devils stand, chant, and cheer from kickoff to final whistle—fueling the fire behind every ASU win.
Sparky is more than a mascot—he’s an ASU icon. Catch him at events, games, or around campus and snap a selfie to commemorate your Sun Devil experience.
Need a quiet escape? Hidden behind Dixie Gammage Hall, the Secret Garden is a lush, peaceful space perfect for studying, relaxing, or grabbing a moment of calm between classes.

Professors want to help you succeed and showing up builds relationships and can make classes less intimidating. Even if you simply introduce yourself or only have one question, that one-on-one connection can go a long way.
You don’t need a 30-step wellness routine. Even things like drinking enough water, taking walks, utilizing free on-campus counseling, or calling home can keep you grounded and energized.
From tutoring centers to free counseling, resume reviews, maker spaces, and writing workshops. ASU offers so much support if you go out and look for it.
The people sitting next to you can become study partners, project teammates, or even lifelong friends. Don’t be afraid to start a conversation, it makes classes way more enjoyable too.
About your major, your goals, your friend group. College is for exploring. You do not have to have everything all figured out right away.
Not everything has to relate to your major or your resume. Some of the best memories and friendships come from clubs or hobbies outside the classroom. I personally love intramural sports and the Fashion Collective.
Opportunities are everywhere at ASU. Try new things and meet new people, but also know when to say no. Prioritize your mental and physical well-being.

Are you looking for a supportive, empowering, and fun community to be part of at Arizona State University? Look no further—Boss Up at ASU is the space for you! We are a minority women-led organization that focuses on mentorship, leadership, and community engagement.
Our mission is to support minority women in their social, academic, and career journeys through inclusive programming and hands-on advocacy. Whether you're a freshman navigating campus for the first time or a senior looking to build your network and give back, Boss Up is here to support you.
We host vibrant, welcoming events that bring students together in fun and meaningful ways. Some of our favorite campus gatherings include Paint & Sip, Game Night, Movie Night, and Hike + Yoga.

Whether it’s a full meal at the MU or a snack from the Pod Market, eating regularly helps you stay energized and focused—especially during long study days.
Aim for 7–8 hours of sleep (yes, really). Your brain, mood, and memory all depend on it—and that 3 a.m. cram session won’t help as much as solid rest.
Overcommitted? It’s okay to set boundaries and protect your energy. Focus on quality over quantity—especially when balancing school, work, and social life.
Try 5-minute meditations, yoga sessions, or quiet reflection in a campus green space (Secret Garden, anyone?). Apps like Headspace offer student discounts to help get you in a flow.
Whether it’s a club, study group, or campus event, connection builds community—and that’s one of the best wellness tools there is.
