"BUILDING-RELATED PUBLIC ART – Awareness-raising measures for the management of public art as part of the cultural environment" is a report on a study of the conditions for supervision and management of building-related public art as a cultural heritage.
The Swedish government proposal on Cultural Heritage Policy (Kulturarvspolitik, prop. 2016/17:116) states the urgency of strengthening the conditions for preserving building-related public art from the 20th century.
The Public Art Agency Sweden was given the assignment of studying the need for initiatives to raise awareness about the supervision and management of building-related public art and, if required, to propose measures that could promote a positive development in the field (Ku2017/02582/LS). The Public Art Agency Sweden has collaborated on this assignment with the Swedish National Heritage Board (Ku2017/00942/KL).
