MSU didn’t change its name to Michigan State University until January 1, 1964, and went through two different names between M.A.C. and MSU. On May 1, 1925, the school became Michigan State College of Agriculture and Applied Science and was changed to Michigan State University of Agriculture and Applied Science on July 1, 1955.
