Purpose Starr County (“the County”) seeks statements of qualifications from engineering firms to provide comprehensive design and consulting services for: • Project 1: Structural rehabilitation of the Roma-Ciudad Miguel Alemán Suspension Bridge.

• Project 2: Repurposing the existing pedestrian lanes on the Starr County International Toll Bridge into a third lane for commercial traffic.

Dagoberto Rios III of Ramiro Barrera Middle School (Roma, Texas) stands with Los Tigres Del Norte, one of the most influential groups in Regional Mexican music, on April 12, 2025, at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg. He along with nine other students were invited to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience, part of the HOHNER/KHS Alianza Académica initiative, a program designed to support music education in Latino music styles such as Mariachi, Conjunto, and Norteño across U.S. schools. The goal is to bridge the gap between classrooms, communities, and the broader music industry.

2025 State of the City Address

It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our recent achievements and share our strategic vision for the future.

Mayor Gilbert Falcon delivered an insightful address, emphasizing key accomplishments across various sectors, including infrastructure, public safety, economic development, and community engagement. Under this year’s theme,

“Moving Forward,” Mayor Falcon reaffirmed the city’s dedication to creating a stronger and more prosperous future for all our residents.
