A BATTLE FOR THE BUSH

LAGUNA SUPPORTING MEALS ON WHEELS
GIVING back to the community is a focus the team at Laguna Real Estate do annually by giving financial support and their free time. Laguna Real Estate has supported Meals On Wheels since 2023 when they received a call for help to deliver meals. Willing to help, Laguna has a larger number of staff members that get rotated on a roster to deliver meals right across Noosa and Noosa Hinterland. It has been a joy for the team to meet some wonderful people and it has amazed many of them on how many get to keep living independently because of this service.
Meals on Wheels is a not-for-profit organisation who make and deliver millions of meals across Queensland to those with a variety of support needs. This can include those in their senior years, people recovering from a major illness or surgery, a person with a disability, a carer, or those needing assistance due to a special circumstance.
Meals on Wheels does not just involve dropping a meal and going, some of the recipients like to have a chat with the friendly Laguna agents. It’s more than a meal as it really does make someone’s day with all expressing their deep gratitude for Laguna’s involvement
in delivering the meals. Without volunteers this charity simply could not exist.
Laguna has given back through their involvement with various charities over the last decade with some of these including the Noosa Come Together, Noosa Beach Classic Car Club, Noosa Prostate Association, Noosa Festival of Surfing, The Red Cross, Classy Ladies and Katie Rose Cottages.
Look out for the Laguna Team on their delivery runs for Meals on Wheels. They love meeting with the community and saying hi when the opportunity arises.
