“We’ve all had a tough couple of years, but life would have been a lot tougher without the support of our essential workers and local club connections that are the very foundations of our community.” The words of Country Racing Victoria’s (CRV) Darren Galley will ring true when the CRV and Cranbourne Turf Club (CTC) come together as one to celebrate the spirit of the Cranbourne community at the Cranbourne Racecourse on Friday 11 March. The Clyde Road level crossing is officially gone for good in Berwick - reducing congestion as motorists travel underneath the new rail bridge. It marks the 58th level crossing removed by the Victorian Government. About 22,000 vehicles travelled through the

level crossing each day, with the boom gates down for around one-third of the two-hour morning peak - delaying people travelling to and from the Princes and Monash freeways. Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) senior project manager Simeon Green said the official opening on Monday 21 February was a long time coming.
