Puppy park attack anger Questions have been raised as to how to police aggressive dogs at off-leash parks after a puppy was allegedly attacked in Pakenham. Kate Withers and her dog Rudy were enjoying a night at Don Jackson Reserve on Wednesday 9 February when a bigger dog allegedly bit Rudy. “I don’t know how in good conscious you could bring your dog, which you know to be aggressive, to a park where there are little dogs and puppies,“ Kate told the Gazette. “If someone hadn’t intervened, I shudder to think what could have happened.“ STORY PAGE 2
I took horse drug says MP Unvaccinated Monash MP Russell Broadbent has taken to Federal Parliament to recall how he used a drug not approved by the TGA to treat his Covid-19 diagnosis. Mr Broadbent spoke in Parliament on Monday 14 February about how he contracted Covid-19 in January but “wasn’t too worried about that“ because he was on supplements to improve his immune system. He then shared how he and his wife undertook a course of ivermectin which typically is a horse antiparasitic drug. The TGA placed new restrictions on the prescribing of oral ivermectin to humans in September 2021. STORY PAGE 2
