GEELONG YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM – NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN Each year, 20 of the region’s most dynamic young people aged 14–17 are given the opportunity to become a part of the Geelong Youth Leadership program. Each participant takes part in an intense 10 month program where they are given opportunities to explore and consider key challenges for people living in the City of Greater Geelong and surrounds. All sessions are based on individual themes such as health, education, governance, regional development, social enterprise, cultural diversity, inclusive practice, event planning and partnerships. The sessions explore and develop further leadership skills needed to address issues in these topic areas. We hope to include young people who may not be traditionally identified as leaders in education or sporting environments. The program starts in January and nominations are NOW OPEN!
