Underpinning the LDA is the fact there is no bank borrowing against the land, plus the added security of a guaranteed price per hectare, which the directors say allows the land owner to sleep at night knowing that their asset is secure.

This also takes away the downside risk as the guaranteed floor price sits above what they could sell the land for in the current market.
