Business owner Pam Jameson-Smith ran a hairdressing business for many years and came across many clients with hair and scalp problems. “I referred clients to a trichologist for treatment and became interested in pursuing a career in the field.” The training involved gaining experience working in a hair loss studio and attending many overseas conferences. “I now specialise in hair loss, particularly women’s hair loss. “Women’s hair loss is a delicate subject in which they feel comfortable discussing their issues and problems with me. “I can also provide extra knowledge due to my hairdressing background of 30 years,” Pam said. Digital imaging technology is used in the consultation to show and record the current state and progress of the condition and treatment. Clients will be able to see the progress through a series of before and after photos.
