Happy New Year and we wish you and your family the best as we move forward into 2025!!
2025 will be the Action Year for Starmount
We have planned, strategized, discussed, debated, requested quotes, applied for permits, budgeted, voted, and agreed on the golf renovation and pickleball courts. Now we have a Go Plan!!
Starmount, let us celebrate our accomplishments and all who played a part in getting us to this point. Our promise is to keep everyone informed on progress, dates, and shortfalls as we go through this massive project.

I am so proud to serve as your 70th president during this Starmount Banner Year For those who may not know the Barbees, my wife Laquetta and I met the 20-year milestone as members of the club, and we have two adult children and five wonderful grandchildren
I would be remiss if we did not have a big round of applause for our Past President, Greg Brown. His support and leadership, both inside the boardroom as well as involvement through all the facilities, were outstanding. Thanks for the big shoes to fill!
To our outgoing Board members, it was a pleasure working with you and a big Thank You.
To our new board members, John Overfield, Dennis Teza, Rich Gunther, and Rob Wells, welcome, and what a great time to be on the foundation of this exciting year ahead!!
As we busily move into our new roles on the board and continue the hand-in-hand work with the club management team, the board will lead through transparency of information and progress.
As I close my first letter, let us all remember the mission statement for Starmount – In keeping with our rich tradition, provides exceptional social and recreational activities for members and guests who value a premier club experience that is diverse, inclusive and family-oriented

Crank Arm Brewing Raleigh, NC

Inspired by the filmmaker's "Director’s Cut," these wines reflect the unique interpretation of Sonoma’s best. The label, designed after a Zoetrope strip from Francis Ford Coppola’s personal collection, pays homage to one of the earliest moving picture devices.

Deep ruby, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Bull By The Horns has pleasingly herbal touches of bay leaves and dried herbs over a core of blackcurrant, game meat, tar and pencil shavings.
