Welcome AngelaZimmerman

CalltoWorship

God of vines and vineyards, We are the fruit of our creation.

Tend to us so we may grow.

Water our roots.

Prune our branches.

Inspect the fruit we produce.

Shine your light upon us.

Make us your own.

LightingoftheChristCandle

CherylMcFaddin

We light the Christ candle as a reminder that Christ is the one who has drawn us to this place, abides with us now, and is with us to the end of the age.

PrayerofConfession

Merciful God, we confess that our confidence is often misplaced. We put our confidence in our abilities rather than in your love. We put our confidence in our belongings rather than in your generosity. We put our confidence in ourselves rather than in you. Forgive us for our misgivings. Redirect us according to your Spirit and your will. Help us to follow your ways and find our freedom in your heavenly calling. Open us to new levels of trust and joy as we press on towards your goal. Amen.

AssuranceofPardon

Friends, we have not already obtained the prize or reached the goal but Christ has! And in Christ you are a new creation, you are made whole and you are called beloved. Thanks be to God!

AffirmationofFaith

I know Christ. I am found in him. Nothing is gained in this life but him. I know the power of his resurrection. I know the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death. I know that, according to his great mercy, we will attain the resurrection from the dead through him.

For the Word of God in Scripture, for the Word of God among us, for the Word of God within us. Thanks be to God.

TheChurchatPrayer&TheLord’sPrayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

DisciplineofSilence

AngelaZimmerman

To be in God’s presence is to be changed. During this moment of silent reflection, consider the change God wishes to make in you.
