Have you noticed the new banner hanging over the pulpit in the sanctuary? If not, you might want to take a look! The new banner is filled with Bible stories – on both sides! On one side are the sounds of the trumpets and the music of the harp. If all is quiet and I concentrate carefully, I can hear both of these instruments play – play as if they are playing at heaven’s door. On the other side of the banner, on the side you haven’t seen yet, are a picture of the shepherd who has us lie down in green pastures. Joining him is the cross, a reminder of our salvation, and a picture of the tree of life. What a wonderful way to represent the Bible to our modern-day eyes. Many thanks to Donna Wells who made the new banner for us to use in our sanctuary!
