FRUITS OF OUR GIVING

Reflecting on this past year, it’s clear that God’s presence is strongly among us. Our “Year of Evangelization” has shown a deep calling to share His message, and we are committed to continuing this mission with renewed vigor for a second year. Your generous support enables us to sustain and expand our efforts.
Here are some highlights of what we’ve accomplished together:
• We introduced a transformative initiative called Super Tuesday for the whole family, offering weekly formation programs in Spanish that engage over 1,200 parishioners each week and address the evolving needs of our community.
• Our vibrant Youth and Children’s Ministry continues to thrive, with events like the Daddy-Daughter Dance and powerful testimonies from our youth, showing how they experience Jesus at work.
• The Eucharistic Procession gathered over 1,500 participants to publicly proclaim the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the launch of Mission Tracks, which will guide individuals in discovering their gifts and finding their place in God’s mission. We are also excited to advance our Transcend campaign, with renovations planned to begin in the coming year.
As St. Paul reminds us, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6). It is God who has brought us to this moment, and it is God who will lead us forward. Thank you for your prayers, presence, and generosity. Together, let us continue to seek “More, Lord!” in the coming year.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Very Rev. Edwin Leonard Pastor
St. Ann brings people to Jesus, forms disciples, and sends the to transform the world.
Our dream is to live out the words of Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations! We are committed to helping people encounter Jesus, grow in friendship with Him, and fully realize their mission to the world.
“We venture into the deep, casting our nets wide so the hungry, broken, and empty share in the abundant life of Christ.”
While our vision describes what we are about at St. Ann, our purpose reminds us why. At St. Ann, we desire to create a family where all are welcome and all know that they belong. We strive to seek out and invite those who long for more so they can experience the overwhelming goodness of our God.
We regard others as more important than ourselves because this is how Christ loved us.
In Christ we create spaces and opportunities to go beneath the surface and share our lives with each other.
Our mission does not stop at the walls of our church. We are called to bring all people to Jesus wherever we go.
For it is in giving that we receive. God is generous with us and we are welcoming and generous to all.
God has big plans, and we are led by the Holy Spirit so we will not settle for small thinking or the status quo.
We don’t simply recruit volunteers; we raise up disciples.
Our spiritual life is a daily process of conversion, to be more like Jesus, never ending, always going deeper.

The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) continues to serve in an advisory capacity to our pastor and the Strategic Leadership Team, being docile to the promptings of the Holy Spirit as we take a highlevel view of our parish life and vision to create, manage, and measure the St. Ann strategic plan.
This year’s strategic theme focused on Evangelization: proclaiming Christ and His gospel by word and testimony of life, in fulfillment of His command. We began by highlighting this aspect of our vision within our parish staff, equipping them to communicate their witness to others and providing opportunities to practice sharing their testimony. With our staff able to articulate why we evangelize, we developed an enhanced “Multiply” curriculum to help the larger parish community recognize the Lord’s work in their lives and seek occasions to share those stories with others. In community groups, parish ministries, and parish events involving children, youth, and young adults, the call to evangelize was encouraged by helping participants prepare and share their witness. Additionally, we created a parish-wide evangelization event through the Corpus Christi procession, literally bringing Christ to the community, where countless lives were touched by this witness to the faith.
In the coming fiscal year, to build on our efforts and maintain the momentum of creating a gospelsharing culture, the focus remains on Evangelization. In keeping with the Eucharistic Revival, we will proclaim Christ and His gospel to the world through the following initiatives:
• Testimony Training and Practice: Developing skills and providing opportunities to share Christ’s work in our lives with those around us.
• Transcend Campaign: Enhancing our worship space’s beauty, including bringing the tabernacle into the main sanctuary, as an invitation to encounter Christ.
• Missionary Institute: Training the next generation of evangelists through hands-on experience in youth ministry and church involvement.
• Creating a Culture of Invitation: Increasing St. Ann’s presence in the larger community, providing more opportunities to invite others to experience our church, and forming leaders to incorporate a common language and mission.
All strategies will be implemented across our English- and Spanish-speaking communities, adapting to cultural contexts as needed. For each strategy, we will also adjust measures and approaches to fit adults, youth, and children.
We are excited to see how the Holy Spirit will move in our parish! We pray that as our community speaks more comfortably about how God is working in our lives, we will more readily invite others into a personal relationship with Jesus. It’s been another great year for St. Ann. The first year of the St. Ann Women’s Summit was a huge success joining the Men’s Summit in drawing people to St. Ann from other cities and parishes. With Masses drawing more and more people, the St. Ann campus is an exciting and vibrant place on the weekends. As we look to the future, the parish will provide parishioners with additional ways to join in the mission God has for this community.
Once again, our external auditors found no exceptions with St. Ann’s annual accounting reports for the fiscal year 2023-2024.
The parish ended the 2023-2024 fiscal year with an operating deficit of $342K. This is very close to what was budgeted for the fiscal year. Collections came in at budget for 2023-2024 as did expenses. Operating at a deficit is not sustainable. The Finance Council is committed to working with the clergy and staff to avoid this in the future.
There is one item that is not included in the Net Operating results. The funds that St. Ann has invested with The Catholic Foundation grew by $457K based on the strength of the stock market this year.
The budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025 reflects an increase in collections of 7.3%. The growth in the number of parishioners and your continued generosity will make this goal achievable. There is an increase in expenses of 5.5%. The increase is reflective of full staffing levels, increased insurance premiums and programming offered to St. Ann parishioners.
The budget deficit is $328K. The Finance Council and the department directors will monitor the financial results on a quarterly basis, with a goal of reducing the deficit.
Each and every one of you are why St. Ann is able to continue to serve its parishioners and community so exceptionally. We need your support as we continue to pursue and share our Vision.
We ask that you prayerfully consider your contribution to St. Ann:
• If you are currently contributing, please consider increasing your support.
• If you have not yet given, please consider pledging this year.

Time magazine recently reported that Generation Z has an attention span of just 8 seconds—one second less than that of a goldfish. Additionally, 44% of youth are experiencing clinical anxiety, and social media addiction is widespread. While these statistics seem troubling, I have immense hope for the children, youth, and young adults of St. Ann.
Over the past year, we focused on three key initiatives to address these societal challenges:
1. Eucharistic Adoration: We encouraged them to encounter the love of God and discover His plan for their lives.
2. Testimony Sharing: We equipped them to share their testimonies and proclaim Christ’s work in their lives.
3. Dynamic Programming: We continued offering engaging programs for children through young adults.
It is through Jesus Christ that lives are transformed, and hope is restored, and I am confident in His work among our young people. Thanks to your stewardship, we met these goals and maintained one of the largest children and youth programs in the country.
Looking ahead, with your support, we aim to:
1. Foster A Culture Of Invitation: Encourage evangelization at every event on campus, reaching beyond St. Ann to those who do not yet know Jesus.
2. Reinforce Testimonies: Continue emphasizing personal testimonies in our ministries.
3. Empower Parents: Equip parents to embrace their role as primary catechists and evangelizers.
As I begin my 13th year at St. Ann, I am filled with gratitude for your support. I look forward to the incredible ways God will work in the coming year!
Joey Scancella Director of Children, Youth, & Young Adult
At St. Ann Parish, worship is at the heart of everything we do. This year, over 1,000 liturgical volunteers partnered with our clergy for more than 1,300 events, including daily Masses, funerals, and confessions. Nearly 8,000 individuals attend Mass each weekend—an increase of 1,000 from last year! For those unable to join us in person, our livestreamed Masses kept them connected.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, we are embracing new pathways of worship and empowering leaders to enrich our community and beyond. Our culture of worship has grown and flourished with different ministries and apostolates exploring praise and worship by forming worship bands to give praise to our Lord!
Looking ahead, we’re focusing on hospitality. Through Mission Tracks, we’re building a missional church where everyone feels welcomed. As we shift from measuring seating capacity to sending capacity, we are dedicated to living out the Gospel daily beyond our walls.
Curtis Stephan Director of Music & Liturgy
As we look back at 2023, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support from our St. Ann Parish community. It is because of your generosity we can do ministry in Coppell and beyond. Thank you! As we continue into this year of Evangelization, we invite every person to reflect on their role as a disciple here at St. Ann and how your support continues to transform lives every day.
As parishioners of St. Ann we are called to worship, serve, give generously, and be in community with one another. In reflecting on Discipleship, we remember the three pillars:
• Time: Prayer in developing a daily prayer life and process to draw closer to Christ .
• Talent: Participation falls upon the discernment of our charisms and sharing our faith story with holy boldness.
• Treasure: Planning our charitable giving on an annual basis through Generosity.
Provided in our bulletin is a My Catholic Giving Guide for charitable planning when it comes to our parish. Here are some key areas of support to discern your giving for next year while looking back at 2023.
We Are St. Ann—Annual Discipleship Fund | Supporting the central fund of St. Ann with a pledge to bring people to Jesus, form Disciples, and send them out to transform the world.
Transcend Campaign | Supporting our journey in placing a tabernacle at the heart of our sacred space and enhancing
its beauty. We welcome prayers and pledges for those interested in supporting this project.
Building Hope | Supporting the St. Ann Center Parish-wide Ministry Spaces: Thank you to those who pledged to the Building Hope Campaign and continue faithfully paying down your pledges. As you will see from our financials, we have a definitive need for additional Building Hope pledges to close the gap of $1.2 Million.
Thank you again to everyone who has given or pledged in support of the great work we have started together. Your charitable heart will leave a lasting legacy at St. Ann for generations to come!

Rebecca Almanza Director of Development
This year, St. Ann Parish proudly introduced “Super Tuesdays,” an initiative aimed at enriching our Hispanic community through engaging formation programs. These weekly gatherings offer diverse programs in Spanish, serving children, teens, and adults alike.
With a mission to foster spiritual growth and strengthen family bonds, Super Tuesdays have provided five distinct adult programs, each focused on different aspects of spiritual development. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 1,200 parishioners attending each week to deepen their faith and strengthen their Catholic identity. This success is made possible by over 200 dedicated volunteers who generously share their time and talents.
Super Tuesdays have been especially impactful in uniting our Hispanic community. Families have grown closer, learning how to better love and serve both at home and in the broader community. These formation efforts have equipped participants to become more active members of the Church, fostering stronger community bonds and a deeper devotion to our Lord.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand with two new adult programs: “Crianza con Amor y Lógica” (Parenting with Love and Logic) and “Estudio Bíblico 101” (Bible Study 101). These programs will address the evolving needs of our community, offering valuable tools for parenting and biblical understanding.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this initiative, making Tuesdays a time for lasting formation.
Marly Castillo Director of Children & Youth Sacraments
2024 has been an incredible year, full of God working through the servant leaders who continually show up and give meaningfully to reach and minister to others.
This year, we were blessed to witness over 60 people baptized into the Catholic Church, 2,200 participants in our parish missions, and 1,100 walking with us as we took Jesus to Coppell in our procession.
We are filled with joy as we reflect on the 438 leaders who attended our leadership summit and took action in launching our new church-wide program, ‘Mission Tracks.’ Over 150 leaders signed up within the first six days.
In addition to celebrating our leaders, we are excited to welcome 120 new servant leaders who have joined to serve at our weekend Masses!
As we look ahead to the coming year, we believe God will do even more. With the continued success of ‘Mission Tracks,’ strategic ministry initiatives, and growing momentum in our RCIA and formation programs, we are confident this year will be even more impactful
Together, we can continue to grow in faith, form disciples, and see lives transformed for Christ. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our mission.
Josh Schwartz Director of Adult Ministry
