jumpbunch junior

DAY AND TIME: Mondays, 3:00-3:30pm

GRADES: Twos & Preschool

DATES: Monday, Sept. 16 - Monday, Dec. 9

PROVIDER: JumpBunch

COST: $150

Does your child LOVE recess? Then this auxiliary is for them! JumpBunch Junior is a FUN, non-competitive place for children to be introduced to a wide range of sports and games in a fun, positive manner. JumpBunch always encourages healthy habits, improved coordination, and confidence. Each class has a different sports or fitness lesson plan with individual equipment for each participant. These are just some of the sports/activities the children can play: football, soccer, baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, corn hole, obstacle course and much, much more.

PROVIDER: Ms. Latoya Neal

COST: $150

Yoga, Fun, & Games auxillary program is designed to introduce children to the world of yoga in a fun and engaging way. Ms. Neal incorporates yoga poses and principles with mindful activities and classic games. Yoga, Fun, & Games will help build your child’s confidence, self-awareness, and focus while having a great time!

PROVIDER: Soccer Shots

COST: $240

Soccer Shots Premier focuses on individual skill, fitness, and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner.

COST: $195

Welcome to Flag Football! This fall, we will work on the basic rules of football through positional drills and scrimmages against each other. Players will learn routes as wide receivers, coverages as defensive backs, and throwing the football as quarterbacks. Another lesson players will learn is the importance of teamwork. This program is a great opportunity for students who have an interest in football to learn the sport and have fun playing it after school with their friends and classmates.

Join our club for an exciting introduction to Scratch coding for kids! Our fun and interactive sessions will teach your child the basics of programming using Scratch, a beginner-friendly platform developed by MIT. With guidance from an experienced mentor, kids will unleash their creativity, learn problem-solving skills, and build their own interactive stories, games, and animations.

DAY AND TIME: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:30-5:15pm

AGES: Third-Fifth Grade

DATES: Tuesday, Sept. 17 - Tuesday, Nov. 19

PROVIDER: St. Anne’s School of Annapolis

COST: $160 (Includes 5k registration fee, 5k medal, post 5k celebration, and a transformatic experience). Scholarships are available based on need.

Girls on the Run is a positive youth development program for girls in Third - Fifth Grade. Twice a week for 10 weeks, girls will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity, and learn important life skills. Trained and caring coaches lead girls through interactive lessons and movement activities. The season ends with a celebratory 5K event. *Please note that once registered in the School’s Auxiliary Program, you will receive information about how to submit payment and register directly with Girls on the Run for the Greater Chesapeake.

PROVIDER: Mrs. K, Twos Classroom Teacher’s Assistant COST: $165

Mrs. K’s Book Club is a unique opportunity for young learners to come together, enjoy stories, and share ideas. Through interactive reading experiences, we aim to improve their communication and language skills. Each week, we’ll dive into a fun children’s book and then get creative with an activity or art project. A snack will be offered for this after-school program.

Join Ms. Neal’s Journey of Mindfulness and Fun in her “Yoga Explorers” program, designed to introduce children to the world of yoga in a fun and engaging way. Through age-appropriate poses and interactive activities, children will develop flexibility, balance, mindfulness, and self-regulation skills. This program aims to create a positive and nurturing environment where children can explore their bodies, emotions, and imagination while having a great time!

Embark on an eco-adventure like no other! We will explore the wonders of the natural world and learn how to become stewards of our planet. Dive into exciting outdoor activities, wildlife discovery, and hands-on experiments that highlight the importance of protecting the environment!

PROVIDER: Davy Dance COST: $150

Davy Dance Academy introduces students to three styles of dance, inspiring movement and creativity within a positive environment. Students participate in weekly, age-specific, 45-minute dance classes containing ballet and creative movement throughout a 10-week session. Using props like Twinkle Bears, sparkle wands, and fun, age-appropriate music engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies and makes class the most fun!

GRADES: Kindergarten-Eighth Grade

DATES: Thursday, Sept. 19 - Thursday, Dec. 12

PROVIDER: Magnus Chess Academy COST: $300

Join the 100,000 (and counting!) kids who’ve learned chess with the official academy of 5x world champion Magnus Carlsen. This in-person club includes online extras like practice tournaments, Chesskid Gold membership ($69 value), and a bonus lesson with Magnus or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player ever!

karate

DAY AND TIME: Fridays, 3:30-4:30pm

GRADES: Kindergarten-Fifth Grade

DATES: Friday, Sept. 13 - Friday, Dec. 13

PROVIDER: Kaizen Karate

COST: $180

This popular class is a disciplined introduction to the sport by Kaizen Karate. Your child will learn the beautiful art of karate while gaining safety and defensive skills in a respectful environment. The class will also emphasize the basic karate principles of focus, patience, and self-discipline. Returning students will continue to work toward new belts, while first-time students will be able to start the belt program.
