Our production facility in Finland uses only renewable wind energy. The stainless steel we use is up to 90% recycled, and all surplus stainless steel is recycled without exception.

PRODUCTION

Our Stala products factory in Lahti, Finland uses renewable wind energy. Our StalaTex process is both energy-efficient and chemical- free.

CLIMATE

Carbon footprints for all our products are meticulously calculated and published on our website. This brings transparency to our operations. We have third-party verified results and the first 100 % climate-reduced stainless steel sink products. At Stala, we take tangible climate actions.

CIRCULARITY

Stainless steel is the world’s most recycled material. The material we use at our factory is up to 90 % recycled. In addition, all surplus steel generated at our factory is recycled without exception. The lifecycle of stainless steel is exceptionally long, and it can be recycled endlessly.

MATERIALS

At Stala, stainless steel is our primary material, complemented by other sustainable materials such as recycled cardboard, biopolymer composite, resininfused recycled paper, and wood from certified sources.

PRODUCT

For us, product responsibility encompasses safety across all stages: from manufacturing, transportation, and installation to usage and recycling.

STALA*ONE is the first 100% climate reduced stainless steel sink series which sets a new standard in the market. Functional, sustainable, and with modern Scandinavian design, it is the obvious choice in today’s and tomorrow’s kitchens.

The ONE is not only entirely unique in the market when it comes to sustainability. Great emphasis has been placed on the details: design, assembly, and functionality.

For example, STALA ONE is engineered to provide a modern, functional working area enhanced by dynamic laser pattern. It makes scratches, fingerprints, and water spots less visible.

The Ultra collection consists of seven undermount sink models. Ultra sinks are ideal for stone worktops, for example. Ultra sinks are easy to maintain, hygienic and highly functional. There is nothing unnecessary about Lagom; it is everything you need. It combines modern design and maximum functionality. Lagom’s modern and simply elegant design fits all kitchen styles. The sinks are designed to be as spacious as possible and they are easy to clean. It is a high-quality and diverse sink range that has the right-sized model for all sink units, from units of 40 cm to units of 80 cm or even larger.

The Lagom collection consists of 13 products. The models with one sink are spacious, which means that washing even larger kitchen equipment in them is easy. The point in the models with two sinks is the narrow wall between them, which saves room in the sink unit.

STALA*ESSENT

Stala Essent is a modern quartz composite series where all details such as the overflow, basket drain valve, and strainer are black as standard.

The modern and minimalist design is evident in tight corner radii (R12), slim edges, and smooth, clean surfaces. This makes cleaning easy and the surfaces hygienic.

The sinks are made of highly durable quartz composite, consisting of 80 % quartz. Quartz composite is resilient and effective at resisting both wear and heat. Mounting with fixing brackets only at the front and back makes the sink easy to install, as cabinet frames do not need to be notched to accommodate fixing brackets on the sides. Sinks can be under or inset mounted.

STALA*COMBO

Stala Combo composite sinks combine design with maximum functionality. The sinks are made of highly durable quartz composite, consisting of 80 % quartz. Quartz composite is very resilient and effective at resisting both wear and heat, but our solid-colored composite sinks are particularly a beautiful detail in the kitchen.

The unique CEG51-57B/BF and CEG51-57G/GF models feature a large sink and a small rinsing area, allowing you, for example, to pour out leftover coffee in the rinsing area instead of the main sink if it’s filled with dishes or frozen foods for thawing.

At the bottom of the sink, there’s also a small depression. This allows water to drain away, even if there’s a larger pot or pan in the sink. Smart and functional!

Stala Lyria is a traditional, inset mounted series of kitchen sinks offered at a very competitive price. The Lyria series features classic rounded shapes for easy cleaning, and the working area slopes towards the sink for efficient drainage.

Stala Neo is a series of sleek kitchen sinks available with or without a working area, in both right and left-handed designs. The model can be installed in all common ways: inset, under, and flush mounted. A cover for the drain is included as standard.

Stala Combo is a series of single sinks with classic rounded shapes for easy cleaning, where a cover for the drain is included as standard for models without a tap area. The models can be installed in all common ways: inset, under and flush-mounting.

Stala Jazz is a series of sinks designed for various types of usage, including kitchens, laundry rooms, garages, kitchen islands, and more. Unique solutions for unique environments.

Stala Designer – Design program for worktops and backsplashes

Stala Designer is an easy-to-use designing program that works on computers, tablets, and mobile devices. You can find the program on our website and use it to design Stala Seven worktops, backsplashes and wall panels to your own measurements. The program generates a drawing and a product code for your design.

STALA*SEVEN

Stala Seven is custom-made worktop product family manufactured in our factory in Lahti, Finland. Custom-made products are standard for us – even in terms of pricing. We produce worktops and backsplashes up to 3000 mm with various options for thickness, width, edges, cutouts, etc. If you desire something beyond the ordinary, you can choose a pattern from the StalaTex collection, which you will find more information about later in the catalog.

GERT WINGÅRDH

Gert Wingårdh has been active as an architect for over 40 years. In 1977, he founded Wingårdh Architects, which over the years has become one of Sweden’s most prominent architecture firms. The quality of the office’s large production has generated many prizes and awards both in Sweden and internationally. Gert Wingårdh is the only architect to have been awarded the prestigious Kasper Salin Prize five times. The air traffic control tower at Arlanda, Universeum in Gothenburg and the Swedish embassies in Berlin and Washington are some of the buildings that bear his signature. In 1999, he was appointed honorary doctorate at Chalmers University of Technology. He also participates as an architecture expert in Swedish Television’s show Husdrömmar.

MATTI KLENELL

Swedish designer Matti Klenell (b. 1972) graduated with an MFA from the department of interior architecture at Konstfack University in 1999. He soon founded his own practice mainly focusing on product design related to space and architecture.

Today the Stockholm-based studio works on a broad spectra of commissions for numerous clients in Sweden and abroad. The great variety of work stretches from unique studio art pieces to mass-produced industrial design projects in collaboration with manufacturers such as Iittala, Lintex, Fon-tana Arte and Offecct.

Klenell has earned numerous awards and his designs are today represented in several museum collections. Klenell is known as a facilitator in the Swedish design community.

HARRI KOSKINEN

Harri Koskinen (b. 1970) is an internationally renowned Finnish designer. Koskinen jumped to the attention of the general public in connection with the launch of Block lamp in 1996. Block is considered a classic of Scandinavian design and is in the base collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Koskinen is a very wide-ranging designer and he is considered one of Finland’s most successful contemporary designers.

Koskinen’s versatile design objects have attracted extensive international attention. He has designed furniture, art glass, speakers, fire alarms, lamps, watches and textiles for numerous well-known companies. Koskinen’s work is characterized by reduced aesthetics, clarity and functionality. Since 1998, he has worked in his own studio called Friends of Industry.

Stala is the first in the world to bring patterns onto large stainless steel surfaces. Patterns are created with a modern and environmentally friendly laser technology, which can draw the designer’s vision onto stainless steel.

We have had the honor of collaborating with world-renowned designers. These collaborations has resulted in unique StalaTex collections.

We offer backsplashes & panels for kitchens and utility rooms made of recycled stainless steel. The backsplashes are available either with StalaTex patterns or without, and you can easily design them using our designing program, Stala Designer, on our website.

We can manufacture backsplashes and wall panels up to 3000 mm and deliver them either mounted on an MDF board (8 mm thick, all edges are folded) or just the sheet metal (0.7 mm). For 8 mm, the maximum dimensions are 3000x700 mm, and for 0.7 mm, 3000x1000 mm.
