July 11, 1804: Alexander Hamilton lies dying on the ground. Aaron Burr stands nearby, a smoking pistol in his hand. Meanwhile, Hamilton’s wife sits at home with a room full of federalists awaiting his return. We have learned that history is written by those who want us to believe what they want us to believe, not necessarily the truth. The Hamilton Murders suggests the possibility that history got it wrong – again. We explore six possible conspiracies, based upon historical facts, that surrounded Alexander Hamilton at the time of his death. We will present these theories in true entertainment form and allow you to decide which one you believe is right. In so doing, you will answer the question “Who paid Aaron Burr to shoot Alexander Hamilton?”

the hamilton murders

the staged version James Monroe is a calculating man who is known for his diplomatic skills. He is distinguished and walks with the presence of a gentleman. He has his own hidden agenda but never publicly takes sides. He has an easy sense of humor but when pushed, he will defend his honor or that of a lady. He has a dark history with Hamilton which may be his undoing. DINO COPPA is happy to return to StageCoach Theatre (Col. Mustard in Clue). His favorite roles include David O’Selznick in Moonlight & Magnolias (WATCH award, Best Featured Actor), Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof (Best Actor, DC Metro Theatre Arts), Max Bialystok in The Producers (Best Actor, DC Metro Theatre Arts), Wadsworth in Clue & Nathan Detroit in Guys & Dolls. Dino thanks: wife Amy, kids, Pierce, Anna, Dino Jr, Angelina & granddaughter Zoey for their never-ending love and support! Eliza Hamilton is the fairy tale description of a lady. She was a Schuyler before she married Hamilton. She is always in control of her emotions. She fights with her mind, is proper with the gentlemen, well-educated and believes in justice. She has a very close relationship with her sister Angelica. They share everything – or do they? LEAH DAILY is honored to reprise the role of Eliza for the stage adaptation of The Hamilton Murders. She played Eliza in the dinner theatre version last March 2020 but sadly they had to close due to the pandemic. Some of her favorite roles over the years include Heidi Holland in The Heidi Chronicles (WATCH Nomination, Best Actress); Jessie Mae in The Trip to Bountiful (RCP Best Supporting Actress) and Gertrude Dueter in The Underpants (FCT Best Supporting Actress). She is thrilled to be working with such a talented cast and crew. She hopes that you are able to help solve the 200 year old mystery and finally help her alter ego, Eliza, put to rest the murder of her husband...unless, of course you think it could be her...you should hold your tongue. Angelica, one of the Schuyler sisters, is witty and charming and very flirtatious. She enjoys talking to men and manipulating them. She is very savvy when it comes to politics and diplomacy. She is logical in her reasoning and enjoys a good debate!

JENNA DOULONG is a vocalist, vox artist, & actor living and working in the DMV area. She is thrilled to reprise her role from the StageCoach Theatre 2019 Hamilton Murders! Previous characters she’s had the privilege to portray are Kathryn Summerskill in Murder on the British Express & Snowy Fox in Moonshine Murders.

the hamilton murders

the staged version Maria Reynolds is a strong woman who has been a victim of men for many years. She has some education and pretends to be naïve. This allows her to listen and learn. Over the last few years, she has been on her own and is slowly finding her own voice.

JENNIFER REITZ is thrilled to be reprising her role as Maria Reynolds in The Hamilton Murders for a third time with StageCoach Theatre! She’s been acting in various theatre productions and commercials throughout the DC area for many years (but she won’t tell you how many, so don’t ask). She’s grateful to the cast and crew of The Hamilton Murders for giving her something to do during a pandemic and for keeping her laughing. Jennifer would also like you to know that she was not typecast in this role. James Reynolds is a classic male chauvinist. He is self-centered and treats women like property. He uses everyone around him for his own personal gain and is quick to sell them out to protect his own skin. He takes what he wants and blames others for his misfortunes. He used to be married to Maria Reynolds. MICHAEL SHERMAN was last seen at StageCoach Theatre as David in Exit Stage Death, and has been acting locally for the past 30 years. Some of his favorite shows include 12 Angry Men (Juror 6), Jekyll & Hyde (Spider), The Iceman Cometh (Rocky), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II puppeteer; nominated Best Lead in a Musical), and I Hate Hamlet (Andrew Rally; nominated Best Lead in a Play; award Outstanding Stage Combat Choreography). Thomas Jefferson sometimes has an inappropriate sense of humor. A character bigger than life, he hates Alexander Hamilton. He is confident in his opinion and some say he can be arrogant. He likes a battle of wits and is logical and precise when he argues. He is very flirtatious and hasn’t met a woman he doesn’t like. He is currently the President of the United States. Even though it has taken almost three years, RON WARD couldn’t wait to get back to StageCoach Theatre! He was seen in The Hamilton Murders (James Reynolds) and Up On the Rooftop, Click Click Bang (Det. Clause). Regional credits include Maryland Ensemble Theatre: Radium Girls, Dr. Faustus, Peter and the Starcatcher, Canterbury Tale; Silver Spring Stage: Lobby Hero, House of Blue Leaves, Sweat; Constellation Theatre: The Orestia, Good Woman of Chezuan; Folger Theatre: Romeo & Juliet, Arcadia. Other DC credits: Frankenstein, RUR. Chicago credits include: Bent, Angels in America. Overseas credits include Van Gogh Remembers and A Lie of the Mind. TV and short films, too!

the hamilton murders

the staged version Dabby Dough is the local baker and long time friend of Alexander and Eliza Hamilton. She hears plenty of news at the bakery and shares that with Alexander. The question is, has she heard something that someone finds so condemning that her life is now at risk.

Emma Carmela (Ensemble) is very excited to return to StageCoach Theatre for another production! She has previously appeared in Dial M for Monsters (Mummy), Up on the Rooftop, Click Click BANG (Holly), and Till Death Do Us Part (Morgan). Welcome to the room where it happens and enjoy the show! The Messenger is a young man who appears to know everything about everything. He has a desire to please and is interested in Eliza. Will that interest result in a duel and end his life or will he improve his station?

MATT TUCKER (Ensemble) is thankful to join StageCoach Theatre Company for the first time! Most recently, Matt oversaw training and programs for the Living History Interpreters, an in-house company of actors, storytellers, and historical interpreters, at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. He is now freelance and open to opportunities! He's honored to be here, and thanks his family, friends - and you! - for all the support. Titus 3:5a. https://www.backstage.com/u/matt-tucker/ (Primary) https://www.backstage.com/vo/matt-tucker/ (Voice Over) Special appearance by RUSTY HINGE.
