Prudecon operates on the 3-D BIM platform, the use of which results in precious savings from which our clients can benefit, due to its accuracy and efficiency of work.

The benefits of this 3-D modeling extends to enhance coordination issues and linkages, which will allow for the flagging of the interference points, as well as for the identification of changes to be documented and dealt with in real time.

PRINCIPAL DIRECTOR Coin Clarke is the co-founder and the managing principal of the structural design team. As a qualified Structural, he has worked on projects in Canada, United States and Trinidad and Tobago.

He is responsible for the structural design and construction documentation for many of Prudecon’s public and private projects and continues to provide hands on service to his clients, while leading a creative team of engineers who specializes in designing innovate and cost effective solutions.

Colin was the treasurer for the Association of Professional Engineers (APETT) between 2011 to 2013 where he dedicated his hours to the profession in an effort of giving back to the engineering fraternity.

Daniel is the Financial Director of Prudecon Limited and commands an integral role in the development and deployment of financial systems and processes within the organization. His career background has equipped him with cross-disciplinary functionality, such as the unique ability to integrate the specialist fields of audit and financial accountancy.

During the early years of his career in finance, he was intrinsically involved in several specialist projects within the Public Sector. He entered financial auditing through the audit stalwarts Ernst & Young, and through this exposure, and the experience he gained in subsequent employment, he has developed invaluable skills in several areas and an understanding of and adherence to strict, aggressive project schedules and deadlines. Apart from this appreciation of project timelines gained from practice, Daniel is also certified as a Project Management Professional and possesses a Masters in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies.

Dr. Stiemer is a consulting engineer and a professor of structural engineering at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. Some of his current projects focus on the high precision design of complex adaptive structures, composite structures and innovative strategies for conceptual design.

On graduating from the University of Stuttgart (Germany) in 1979 with his Ph.D., he worked as a Research Engineer at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1981, he was offered the position of Associate Professor by the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia. He accepted, and then, in 1990 he became a Professor in the Civil Engineering Department.

Dr. Stiemer has a wide range of experience in complex structures such as designs of enclosures for telescopes in the astronomical community and amusement ride designs.

Our engineering designs for these buildings are focused strongly on energy efficient designs that allow for maximum indoor air quality (IAQ) and occupants comfort, adoption of applicable solar powered equipment and systems. Designs also incorporate clean energy in the form of natural gas-fired chillers to meet all the building’s Air-conditioning needs. In addition to the already designed infrastructure, our designs will seek to further improve the environment sustainability of the business park, with the introduction of our proposed Solar street lighting scheme.

Cove Eco-industrial and business Park is well endowed with newly commissioned utilities such as: • Natural gas distribution pipeline • Electrical power distribution • Sewer collection and on-site treatment system • Complete infrastructure for a water reticulation and; • Telecommunications The entire industrial park will benefit fully from this local natural gas distribution system This will provide a clean form of energy for the buildings, whereby the Combined heat and power technology (CHP) can be applied.

Prudecon Limited has been retained to provide consultancy services for the second phase of this development. The second phase of development includes the design of several modern, state of the art business units. Mainly administrative type buildings, Incubator building units, shared business centres and factory warehouse shells.

Mar’s Supermarket PORT OF SPAIN Challenged by the Urban environment the attention to the method and ease of construction played an important role in the engineering designs for this project. Prudecon Limited successfully designed the structural and M.E.P related systems that balanced the cost and the other project constraints.

Optical Office ST JAMES Completed in 2008, this 2-storey commercial building features two floors of open span rentable space. The ground floor was designed to house a medium-sized Optical Office, while the upper floor was designed as a totally flexible commercial area.

On this project, we carried out full Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical designs, as well as Construction Supervision Services throughout the entire contract period.

University of Trinidad & Tobago WALLERFIELD Construction work on The University of Trinidad and Tobago, Tamana Signature Building is currently in progress at the Tamana In-Tech Park in Wallerfield, Trinidad.

On completion, this UTT campus will comprise modern classrooms, labs, offices and ancillary services within state-of-the art, ‘green’ buildings fully compliant with international standards. It extends over a cover area of 66,915 square meters..

The role of the Prudecon Limited in the project is in an advisory and supervisory capacity, in terms of all MEP quality compliance on behalf of the Client. The Client requires the team to oversee the design-build contractor.

ECCE PORT OF SPAIN The Education Facilities Company Limited (EFCL) is undergoing the construction of several Early Childhood Care Centers about Trinidad and Tobago.

With special focus being given to natural ventilation and flexible space usage, Prudecon provided full engineering designs for the various prototypes of the ECCE centers.

Clifton HIll Residential Apartment Towers PORT OF SPAIN The Clifton Hill Residential Apartment Towers is located on east-side of the capital city of Port of Spain. The entire development constitutes of two 8-storey and two 10-storey apartment towers over looking the city from Clifton Hill site. The total building area covers approximately 35,480 m2.

The initial preliminary Structural designs were carried out with the aid of our in-house structural modeling software to achieve the most economical but yet safe designs for this high-rise structure.

Throughout the project we were also directly responsible for ensuring quality compliance and construction supervision activities.

Maraval Residence Nestled in the hilly terrain of Maraval, Prudecon limited developed the civil and structural designs with a valued approach to the intended usage and the surrounding environment. The resulting structure boasts of a three storey residence with large open areas and large cantilever extensions.

Petit Valley Residence The vision of the architect to develop a modern residence with lots of natural light entry was tasked, from a structural engineering to Prudecon limited. La Romain Residence Situated in the south of the Isle of Trinidad and Tobago, Prudecon limited was responsible for the structural designs of this 4900 sq ft building property.
